    Morning all!

    Happy birthday Uolypool!

Went to bed feeling distinctly grumpy, for no good reason either, probably just tired and hormones! Was woken up by alarm, called kids and next thing had dd3 wandering around going argh argh argh, and sounding like a very annoying lorry reversing! Apparently she'd hurt her back and legs and could hardly move, sigh! Told her that if she was likely to be disabled in the next 2 mins then we'd best cancel her party at the weekend, she managed to resume movement then with slightly less noise, until she got in dd2's way of the mirror and she had a full blown screaming fit! No idea what was up with her, but she eventually trotted off to school quite happily! dd2 is in the doghouse again too, she wanted to go and hang out with her mates last night despite being grounded, so I came out of work to a voicemail and a text to say she'd missed the bus, would be more believable if dd1 hadn't seen her walking the other way, and if she hadn't actually phoned me to tell me she'd missed it before it had actually left the school lol - Spudette's daddy owns the coach co that does their school run, and each bus is fitted with a tracker, so was pretty easy to check timings! Someone please remind me why I want another one........
On the bright side, dd1 thinks her exam piece is going well, she's finishing it off today, then that's her art gcse pretty much over with really! And ds has gone off to Bristol Uni today on a biology field trip, hopefully he will be reinspired about the subject, as he had a bit of a personality clash with one of the biology teachers and isn't enjoying it that much right now, I'm also hopeful that it'll renew his interest in university! I don't expect much from the trip then do I?!

Weather is a bit grim here, grey and chucking it down, still a good reason to stay indoors and get jobs done! Need to work my way through the house with black bags and fling stuff that nobody is claiming, then have a good wipe round of all those bits that I usually ignore, like skirting boards, the recent sunshine has shown up the dust lol! dd2 is on pots for the next fortnight as a punishment for fibbing about the bus, tbh I'm starting to run out of punishments for her! Hoovering was done again yesterday eve by ds, so one less job. Want to go and spend some time cooking and listening to the radio and having a gentle potter, so will do that after the cleaning, which should restore my usual good mood I hope!

Dinner tonight is meatball and choritzo stew with possibly last night's leftover rice! Pud will be the leftovers from yesterday too!

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx

    (((((CG))))))

Well yesterday just seem to fly away, and I didn't even get chance to read, so (((hugs))) Congratulations as appropriate.

I have a double batch of teacake/hotcross bun dough (I made teacakes, but prefer the spicy HCB than just plain). And some Lidl Lean Diced Beef in the SC and all before 8am. which is quite good for me these days.

Debating whether to go into Donny today or not, we are off to London this weekend staying near Theobald Park, Waltham Cross, in the 'van which just gives us a half hour drive to their new flat (they only have a 1 bed place), we need to take them shopping for bits they need, and have found that most shops are at Wood Green which is only a couple of miles from them, as well as taking things from here.

Breakfast now calls, and I have a glut of eggs, so may make a cake or 2 later.

Take care all and (((hugs)))), spoons, High-5's all round. DG

Well, my knitting masterpiece is finished! Just sewn up the last bits and put the buttons on. It's a jacket which may fit the baby when she is about a year old! Hopefully she will just wear it behind closed doors as it's not that good but I tried my best!!! I have to say that I have quite enjoyed knitting so may try something else (poor child).

Raining on and off here so no washing, apparently it's only going to get worse and we may have floods. DS1 and GF coming for tea tonight (hopefully they will return my hoover), can't decide between chicken & veg or spaghetti & meatballs? Off for a shower in a mo, DW going on when I have finished my tea and breakfast.

Have a good day all, take care. XX

eta - Candy - hope you feel better, big hugs and Happy Birthday to Uolypool!

How are you feeling candygirl x

Today's plan, actually clean the house, unlike yesterday:o.

Grumpo's still in bed, boys are at school and don't finish till four today, so i've no excuse not to tidy up. but for some reason i'm shattered and have a serious case of CBA.

Not sure what were having for tea, so prob either stew or curry, just a case of whatever defrosts first. Right better go and see if the washers has finished spinning. Really hoping it doesn't rain today as i want our dry, bedding today

    Back in a bit

    Good morning my lovelies :D

Anyone miss me? :p Not had chance to post since Saturday, busy with Mothers Day and making some cards. Sort of lurked but not had time to post.

Plans for today are to cook chicken and roast some manky spuds to freeze, making dough in the BM, WM on and I have to catch up with my housework, massively behind with it :o
It's blowing a hoolie here although it's still for the moment. Come back Spring all's forgiven ;)

Need to make some biccies and some cake for DS's lunch box.

Playing musical beds last night, temp dropped in DS's room which sparked a coughing fit off (he's got a dry cough at the moment as has DD) so once he's woken he won't go back off in his bed. Ended up having a lie in til 7.30am so can't complain :o

Candy - Hope you're OK lovey xx we're all here to chat to if you need to get stuff off your chest.

ulypool - Happy Birthday, have a great day cake.gif

Hugs, spoons for anyone that needs them. Have a great day OS or not.

    Happy Birthday Uolypool :bdaycake:

No zoo today, we checked the weather report yesterday, and decided against it, so it will be tomorrow or Friday now, will decide later. Off out to the movies instead, to see the latest Narnia flick, it's the Kids' Club movie, so £2.50 each for the boys, and I get in free :) Home to do housework via Asda afterwards. Joy. Need to bake some break and goodies, too, and the bathroom and downstairs loo are getting it! ;)

Have a good day everyone, take care of yourselves.

    Afternoon

Well operation get house sorted is under way. Living room is almost done.

I must be making an improvment as my mum's just been to pick up the kids and said "oh it's tidy for once" :rotfl:

So I have just stopped for some lunch then I will crack on, need to move the sofa to get in behind it but then that's the living room done. Plan is then to move onto the kitchen.

    Have a good day all.

Well it feels like I've had a very slow morning, and I feel much better for it! I have unloaded and loaded dw (there will be more by the time dd2 arrives home as I'm going to bake later, so she won't escape her punishment!), put on white boil wash, walked hound, poured boiling water on hob to soak and scrubbed it, S&S kitchen and soaked cloths in bleachy water, then wiped down all doors and skirting boards and surfaces with bleachy cloths! Hoovered hallway as dd3 had dropped some grated choc (she had to take it into school yesterday for a science experiment, and refused to bin it afterwards lol!), gave floor a quick mop too. Still need to do dejunk clutter that has accumulated, but feeling like I've achieved something! Also got tom sauce reducing ready for dinner tonight - hoping dd1 will be okay with whitebait in the sauce as she's now not eating meat! If this sounds really gruesome could someone please tell me, as I don't eat fish I have no real idea lol!
