Morning-just! Bit grim here but dry at the moment.(well it was when I started typing)
    Uolypool-Happy Birthday-sounds a good one so far:)
    Candygirl- (((hugs)))
Beemuzed- poor DS-lets hope he starts feeling much better soon, glad he and DGD are coming for the hols.
ButterflyBrain- glad your batteries came,& you're mobile again :j
Not too much going on as I had a good tidy before a friend came yesterday(DH came home and thought we had a viewer for the house :D).The washing is up to date, but the ironing is definately not :(

Was a bit perturbed yesterday and this morning,as 3 messages had been left telling me to ring a credit agency:eek:.I was racking my brains to see if anything had been overlooked.Googled the name, and they do work for telecoms and utilities.Checked the bank online, the only thing I could think of was DS mobile, although he was a bit late he had paid it last week over the phone. The message had left a reference number, but not for a named person-just the occupier.Anyway I rang and quoted the number, the man asked if I was at a certain address, and it wasnt ours, phew, not too far away but not even our street.Cue lots of apologising on his behalf, said it must be a wrong number,or the person they were after has given the wrong one out.I couldnt help thinking it could have frightened the life out of an older person

Anyway OS so far has been chomping my way through the box of chocs that DS1 bought for Mothers day...making sure there is no waste, you understand :D My cold is still making me lethargic, but might see if I can get some sewing in this afternoon, although DN is calling in a bit-she's been making her Mum try clothes on in Next for her so she can buy something for after the baby is born :rotfl:1 week to go.
    Have good days all.x

    Afternoon ladies,

Just having a quick break before I do the DW and cook dinner. The clothes mountain of doom is away. Looks like I am going to have to get a wriggle on in getting the house up together. We are going to look at a house on Thursday evening and if it is suitable for us she will want to look at ours to see if it is suitable for her and then we can do a swap (we are HA.) Ours is modern with downstairs toilet and ensuite. Lounge and a kitchen dining room. The rooms are quite large-ish as well. We have a small back garden that gets no sun and the flats at the back and side look right down in it. We have 2 allocated parking spaces in front of the house. We have a gate to get into the back garden which we bring our trailer tent through.

We haven't seen any pictures of the other place, only what she has told me on the phone and what we have seen on Google Earth. It is 60's built. It has 2 doubles and a single. A new bathroom with a shower over the bath, no ensuite. A lounge, dining room (was a lounge/diner but she put a wall up) and a medium size kitchen. There is no downstairs loo. It has a driveway (I don't know if it goes up the side of the house and whether there is access to the garden, will have to get DH to look on the way home tonight.) The garden is a lot bigger than ours but don't know which way it faces atm. and it has houses at the back of it but they are at the end of their gardens to.

Now if the rooms are big enough and we can securely park our tent like now. Would you consider moving to somewhere with only one bathroom when you are used to 3.

Oh! and something else to bear in mind is it is only 20 mins/ half hour to walk to school where as now it can be an hour plus and we would only be 5 mins from the allotment. We would also be in the catchment for 2 goodish primary schools if we decide to move the 2 littlies. We would be in the catchment for 2 excellent secondarys as well.

Do you know what I think I know the answer now I have written all that out :D

    Happy Birthday Uolypool

    and big hugs for Candygirl
Julie - makes sense to me, I lost some that way a couple of years ago and then the rest via slimming world. Fighting hard to stay the same despite having to stop running when my joints went mad last summer.

Work remains manic, I changed job recently and increased my hours, just not used to it yet.

Tonight my little helpers have kindly collected dirty washing, peeled potatoes and made some scones. They seem to have realised (at 6 and 8) that I am struggling and they are doing a lot more to help me which is lovely but upsetting.

I should be looking after them, not the other way round :o.

Dinner will therefore be HM wedges with baked eggs, sausages and mushrooms, followed by scones, the last of the HM jam and the dregs of the cream from the weekend. Spare sausages will be going with some new pots into a dressing as some sort of lunch for bread hating OH.

Bread - is it worth making some dough tonight, leaving it in the fridge tonight to rise, knocking down in the morning, then fridge to rise till after school run or are my times too long?

Dear Hex, I don't know the answer about the bread dough, but there is probably some wise sage on here who does. x
Hugs to all who need or want.
Visit to MIL went well. I do try to be mature and all that, but she was such a total biatch for the first 10 years of our marriage it is hard to put that aside. I know that the bad feeling inside me is like my personal dry rot and is not good for me, but it is still there after all these years:( I need to become a bigger person and overcome this. She's visiting here over Easter. I do put on a polite front but it is only a veneer.

Anyhoo, I think the forecast is good for tomorrow so I shall bury myself in washing unless I get a call in to work.
Happy evenings to you all, x

    Evening all

    happy birthday Uolypool!!

Wet and miserable day here :( Still not feeling myself, vertigo bit better today though.

Work flew by, kids worked really hard. 3 didnt turn up today, sadly they have a lot of issues going on outside of the course. One girl is falling apart waiting for a court case to face her abuser :( it's breaking my heart to see her go downhill. All we can do is be there for her on the days she manages to come in. The other 2 boys are having huge family problems, both have been made homeless by their parents so have been trying to find emergency housing. It's hard work trying to help them all.

Tonight I need to finish off some uni work. I'm having my final observed teaching session tomorrow - doing a CV planning session. I've done most of it, just need to do the final bits.

OS wise - ahem not much! :o DW will go on overnight. Need to get lunch out of freezer for tomorrow.

    Have a good evening all
