No, not at all, thats your choice how you spend your money. I think being VERY ANGRY at someone for buying a gift for you or your kids, from Primark, is totally different. I don't think I've every received a gift thats made me angry :p.

ok lol, perhaps "hate" and the cross face was a bit OTT :P
but I still feel just a wee bit put out when receiving a pressie from the cheapest shop on the high st! maybe less put out and more bemused, because of how I feel about buying gifts from there.

    Hi
This is a great idea for thread.
I bought a lambswool mens 'v' neck jumper in the sale at Primark for £4 two weeks ago and it's has washed great. I also got one of the Breo style watches you refer to in Oxford St for £1. I think their fashion tights are a triumph as they come up a really good size and only cost £2 a pair I have had loads of complements on Rose pattern tights.

i like buying stuff from primark for myself and my family, but would never buy a gift for someone else. i hate it when people buy gifts for me or my kids from there .

But maybe it's all the person could afford?

Yep. My daughter bought one last weekend and it fell to bits this morning. I know it was only £10 but still...:(

I like.....bras, knickers, pjs, jeans have been great, some of the thicker socks have been fab over the winter (thin ones didn't last 2 minutes), I LOVE Primark eyeliners! (2 for£1)

I am thinking of buying some bedding that I have seen...anyone had any experiences?

 Return it... under the Sale of Goods Act it should last a lot longer than that! I think Primark relies on people NOT returning stuff that falls to bits as it's so cheap. :( I always return goods that don't last/fall apart after a short time, whether they cost me £5 or £50!!! :D

I love Primark! I have got some bits that have lasted for a few years. I love the kids clothes as it doesnt bother me if they wear them out. I always buy holiday clothes from there as it doesnt matter at the prices if they dont last more than that summer. I have had some total bargains. Also when you get a compliment on something its often a surprise for the person when you say its from Primark. The devil does not wear Prada but the devil wears Primarche! (makes it sound posh) LOL

The cheap flat shoes are no good at all, the £4 ones last a matter of days. The plimsolls are good though for £2 when other places sell them at £12.

I can vouch for the bedding, I've a double quilt and sheet set for two years at uni and it hasn't shrunk or faded yet.
However, their cheap-cheap duvet quilts and the pillows are not worth it for the winter but the covers are fab.

re. their bedding: I had a single set the whole time through uni, and it washed well and didn't go bobbly or thin. it had a few loose threads when i bought it and clearly wasn't top quality, but it served its purpose well. mind you it was a cream dye so no chance of dye transferring to skin!

i also had one of the value range duvets and pillows, bought in the sale for next to nothing. turned out it was next to nothing - pillows lost their shape and the duvet was plain uncomfortable. some you win...
