Men's business shirts - a big thumbs up. Used to be great at £4 a pop, still great at £6 a go.

Avoid the White, as it can be a bit see through, but some of the others are excellent. All without the top left pocket, which makes them look cheaper than regular shirts, but makes them good for a night-out shirt also.

For the slightly more mishaped men like me: I have a 17 inch neck but am only 5'6", so regular shirts with large necks swamp me (M&S et al).
Try the primark "Slim fit" shirts with large neck sizes, looks like a well fitted shirt, but fits my neck which works well for me.

I was only in there last week and thought they had actually put their prices up considerably, and not really upped the quality to match. I was on the lookout for jumpers and struggled to find anything in a nice soft material for under £10, and since thats the kind of price range they were supposed to specialise in I wasnt impressed. A year or so ago I bought three t shirts (nice ones not basic ones), a handbag, a belt and a pair of shoes for under £15, you couldnt do that now, and the stuff still falls apart...

I agree, i love primark but their prices have gone up, if i saw a skirt in new look for a tenner i would think "bargain" but in primark it seems a bit steep?

When i was pregnant i think i bought sleepsuits for £4/5 they are now £7 for 3! i can get better quality ones from matalan for the same price!

Kids clothes, Plain leggings are an utter bargain. £1.50 a pair or £2.00 for two if memory serves right.
HATE with a passion the rest of the kids clothes, full of slogans and cheap prints, or adult looking outfits. Blur.

I went into my local Primark last June/July looking for a pair of cropped trousers. They hardly had anything left (as it was holiday season) but I managed to find one pair in my size :). I took them to the till to pay for them and it turned out that they were reduced from £9 down to £5... bargain!

So if you are looking for stuff for next year's winter etc, I would keep an eye on the reductions or what's left on the racks. HTH :)

Just a quick add on that if you have a mobility need (like a walking stick, or a wheelchair/scooter, or someone with you who has) they are the most pro-active store I go to. They always have a til at the far end where you can bypass the long queue to avoid standing for so long. You just wait at the end of the bank of tils and they serve you there straight away.

So true, when I was pregnant, I went in there for a few items to put into my hospital bag like slippers, knickers etc and I went into the queue, then one SA came up to me and said " you don't have to join the queue cause you're pregnant, follow me" and she took me to the first till at the far end and I was served straight away.

People even came behind me to cash up their stuff and started to make noise saying I jump queue  and the SA was trying to explain to them why! By then am long gone out of there.:)

Does anybody know if there are any nice sandals in at the moment?

YES! I bought some tan brown leather-look sandals in there last week for £2.... They are lovely and I was so pleased to find them as very nearly bought almost identical pair in New Look for £7.99

  • Another vote here for their plunge bras - my black lacy one is going strong and I think i wear and wash it the most often! Lovely.

I hope they've improved the quality of these - I've boutgh two pairs in a similar style in the past which ended up snapping at the strap after a few wears.
I tend to treat primark sandles as disposable flip flops.
