Does anybody on here enter holiday comps that are classed as family holidays or ones that offer places for more than two people, if you havent got children and it would only be two people going on the holiday if won? Just wondering as I think the new This Morning comp is a family holiday plus the money, I would love to enter but not sure about the holiday part.
    Hope that makes sense.

My OH is a teacher so I can only enter holiday competitions that are valid in school holidays which are few and far between so if some come up there are valid but are family holidays then I enter them. I won a family break to Butlins a few years back and a family stay at a Thistle hotel last year and had no probs going just the two of us.

Im a bit miffed actually - i saw this thread by weeowen here - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3338732 - and asked, what i classed as a reasonable question as to why something had been posted in the weeklies section but not on the main board, as after all the discussions a few months ago i thought the end result was all comps go on the main board, but any dailies, weekly or once only comps are then linked to the relevant sticky. I didnt get a reply and now i see that my post has been deleted, with no explaination or PM to say what on earth i had said to offend. It is mentioned in the OP about the comp being in the weekly section last week and had hardly any thanks, so i dont think it was an unreasonable place to put my question.

Am i wrong, and has anyone any idea why it has been deleted?

A post that I written on the same thread, and weeowens response to it, were also deleted. smiley-confused013.gif

I also can't find the rules for the Regulars Thread. Could someone tell me where they are please? I thought they were in a sticky on the main board but that seems to have disappeared as well. smiley-confused004.gif

Sounds like a cover up to me (im not sure what you and weeowen put, it must have been deleted before i came back) i can understand MSE not wanting another huge discussion, but when competitions are being missed, people are not sure what is happening, and posts are being deleted without an explaination, then something is very wrong.

There was a sticky about posting, but that's disappeared . How the heck is anyone supposed to know what the rules are :(? If they're not clear, the whole debacle could well erupt again ! Why has it been deleted...?
The rule is (was?) that if it had an end date, (As this one does,) it went on main with a link to the relevant sticky.
Mind you even that caused debate and comps like "Hello" that some insisted were ongoing and MUST be in regs, have since finished, which rather makes a nonsense of the whole "Ongoing" label:rotfl:.

I thought all comps were meant to be on the main board, if they didnt have an end date and i remember the discussion regarding it (i cant remember what the suggestion was now, but something like E: 99/99 but this was disregarded) im sure we decided that those comps with no end dates would put the end of the year and then re post. More people use the main board than any of the stickies, so it had to be that way to keep the majority happy. To help the minority, we were linking these threads to the dailies, weekly and one only stickies - what is so difficult about it and why the cover up?

See, even us older 'uns can't remember, what chance does a newbie have of doing it right when the guidance has gone...? LOL!

I've been offline most of the day so missed the deletions.MSE seems to have picked this for the newsletter.I know they sometimes "tidy up" posts that get put on the newsletter,as it has happened on one of my post before. In that instance the answer was removed.
Re the rules I understand,as has been said, that if there is an end date it is posted on the main board eg with this comp. For example each month I have been posting a new thread for this ,even though it runs all year.
My deleted post was just confirming that it was a Telegraph comp & not via The Times as half agony thought, nothing problematic etc :-)
