I thought all comps were meant to be on the main board, if they didnt have an end date and i remember the discussion regarding it (i cant remember what the suggestion was now, but something like E: 99/99 but this was disregarded) im sure we decided that those comps with no end dates would put the end of the year and then re post. More people use the main board than any of the stickies, so it had to be that way to keep the majority happy. To help the minority, we were linking these threads to the dailies, weekly and one only stickies - what is so difficult about it and why the cover up?

has anyone pm'd glad to ask her where her sticky went ?
i noticed it had gone a few days ago as was looking for the new rules to send to someone who'd pm'd & asked me something regarding posting but it had gone then
please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly. k2u58ioz4c8e.png

Where's the "entered" ticks gone?!!?! Aaaargh, they're not showing on the front screen, only when I click into a comp and realise I've already entered :9

I've been offline most of the day so missed the deletions.MSE seems to have picked this for the newsletter.I know they sometimes "tidy up" posts that get put on the newsletter,as it has happened on one of my post before. In that instance the answer was removed.
Re the rules I understand,as has been said, that if there is an end date it is posted on the main board eg with this comp. For example each month I have been posting a new thread for this ,even though it runs all year.
My deleted post was just confirming that it was a Telegraph comp & not via The Times as half agony thought, nothing problematic etc :-)

Thank you for explaining, thought i was being censured for some reason when i didnt think i had posted anything contriversial - especially now i can see others are wondering where the rules are!

This weekend i think i might go through the weeklies and see which ones are there, and if any have gone straight there and not been put on the main board!

No problem comping cat.It just seemed that so many of us had missed the comp last week,as I'm sure there would have been a lot of interest in it.
Seems a funny one to pick for the newsletter though, given that it only runs on one day.If I was picking I'd go for a big item,eg holiday, ipad,tv etc from a well known site with a longish run time.Just my opinion though :-)

As I understood it, after the polls and subsequent discussions, it was decided that:-

Monthlies would be posted on the main board and treated as a new competition with a new post each month.

Dailies and Weeklies with a specific known overall end date would be posted on the main board using the overall end date and the thread updated with new questions/answers on a daily/weekly basis as necessary. (This is clearly not happening in practice) A Link would also be posted on the Daily/Weekly threads as appropriate.

Dailies and Weeklies with no known overall end date (e.g. Daily - Radio Caroline quiz, Weekly - Tetley Teafolk) would be posted on the Daily/Weekly threads as appropriate and also updated with new questions/answers on a Daily/weekly basis.

Well, that's how I saw it.

In practice, some are being posted this way but some weeklies in particular are being posted as new comps on the main board on a weekly basis much the same as the monthlies.

I too have been looking for the "disappeared" new rules thread for a few days now. The original discussion thread is in Game Over as is MSE Andrea's summing up but I can't find the finalised rules.
