Cheers thingamabob.Have I been posting wrong according to......

Dailies and Weeklies with a specific known overall end date would be posted on the main board using the overall end date and the thread updated with new questions/answers on a daily/weekly basis as necessary. (This is clearly not happening in practice) A Link would also be posted on the Daily/Weekly threads as appropriate.

    .

eg on this series of comps
    here
    here
    here
    here

They were sort of weekly, but with a different prize/end date.
I very rarely use the regs so am not too used to the varying rules etc.

I don't want to get the whole debate started again or say what is right or wrong, I have just stated what I thought was decided. If what I have said is right, then your weekly posts would not be strictly correct but I'm not sure everyone was in agreement when the "discussion" was terminated.
I suspect the "Rules" may have been deleted so as to leave it up to each OP how they want to deal with their post, in which case, your posts are perfectly OK and I'm sure they get seen by more people that way.

    Cheers thingamabob.
I'll be honest, much to my shame,I skipped so much of the rules debate as it took place.Maybe I should have took more notice :-(
It was getting a bit heated for me so I just stayed away from the kitchen,as it were.

    Hi all

I won an overnight stay in the Lakes with Heart FM in April. I've received details of the prize from the PR Company and given my preferred dates of travel. However, the T&Cs of the comp here http://www.heart.co.uk/win/additional/pop-royalty-rules/ state that we'll receive a petrol allowance of £150 but the PR lady says cos of where we live we'll receive a petrol allowance of £60 based on the mileage. As Mr M isn't working we could have done with the extra for spending money otherwise we'll have nothing to take with us once the petrols paid for. Does anyone know where we stand with this? I know it sounds a bit cheeky as it's a fab prize without the extra £ but just wondered if there's anything we can do?

    Thanks xx

I would reply saying you are disappointed that you are not being given the prize in its entirety. I dont see how they can do that.

Firstly make sure you copy the T&C in case they disappear from the site.

I would argue on the grounds that it doesn't say "up to" £150 anywhere, and also what about petrol usage while you are in the lake district. Ask them to point out under exactly which rule they are reducing the amount.

I was just about to say the same thing, no mention of 'Up to' £150:

    Prize includes:

Petrol allowance of £150 for one family car to the Lake District
Overnight accommodation at the Low Wood Hotel, Lake District
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant for two adults and two children
Dinner in the hotel restaurant for two adults and two children

Thanks for all your swift responses :D

I've emailed back and quoted/linked to the T&Cs. I took a screen print of them back in April when I first won, just in case ;) and have C&P'd them to a Word doc too.

I'll let you know when I get a reply. Fingers crossed xxx
