As I said, Callcredit check is a genuine company and if you have not previously supplied them with any details, I feel you should contact them (the genuine Callcredit Check) in some way in case someone else is trying to use your details.
The address they give on the web site for queries is:-

LS1 9GX

If this is the same as the one on the letter you have received then it should be OK to reply to (without supplying any specific details) but if it is different then it's possible the letter itself is a scam and it may be best to send a copy of the letter to the above address querying it's authenticity.

It's the same address, I've written a letter and will post it on my way out with the dog later. Thanks for the advice, it may be nothing but you can't be too careful.

Taff Girl usually posts these. She's last logged in a week ago or so. They don't end till the end of August, I think so do we leave it till a week or so before the end date before someone elses posts?

It's always said that nobody 'owns' comps and it's just the TV and Magazine ones that are left to regular posters isn't it?

Thanks. It's just when I did a search to see if posted, it was only her name come up as poster

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. Been dozing at the 'puter for 20minutes and don't want to hit the wrong answer :rotfl:

think maybe it would be polite to pm her first to enquire if she's still posting them, maybe she has probs with connection/RL/ etc,
or maybe if they don't end till the end of the month she's decided there's no rush to post them,
if they don't reply maybe they are on thier hols/unwell/etc
i think personally it would only be polite as said to pm a couple of times to ask first

Despite best efforts still get some SPAM emails from comp entries. A number of unsubscribe links fail, and despite several attempts and replying to emails can't stop them As I understand it all mass emailers must allow you to unsubscribe. Is there any way of reporting these sites?:(

Why does it matter who posts comps? Sorry....I'm new to comping.

For all the regular compers were would you say your majority of prizes come from - internet entries, postal, text, telephone or not sure?

I used to enter a good number of competitions back in 2008 and won a number of smallish prizes on a regular basis than the winnings dried up and I stopped all but a few favrourites (magazines). I have now decided to try my hand again and debating whether to have a "gambling" fund to use for text/telephone comps - opinions please?
