Google only brought up the area, Devon. Did you try calling back? Hope it's a nice one :D

Getting really fed up lately as I don't win that much but do have a few. But the last five wins I have had to chase, and e-mail, and phone and chase, and e-mail. Currently chasing a win from end of May. It kind of spoils the win :(

Hmm ok thank you - just had a look at your siggy & I'm very impressed! Did you win all of those just by sticking on the comp forum or do you have other sites you use?

I'm thinking I may be better off just entering a couple of comps on here a day rather then on getmeaticket.

I only use this site, I wouldn't have time to go anywhere else. I'm taking early retirement in December, so hopefully will have a bit more time to comp.

    Bump repost

Hi! Sorry if this is the wrong thread...

New to comping and need advice. I have been putting my mobile number on all my comp entries because I really don't want to be spammed on my home phone. I know some people use separate sim cards for comps, but I was wondering if there is a chance I may be disqualified or at a disadvantage by using a mobile number? I noticed that one comp today asked specifically for a home number.

Anybody have advice from experience? Thank you in advance!

Got a WEM from Scene Central on 23 June saying I had won some X-Men merchandise (from this comp I think https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3270566. thanks nursey71:)) Gave it a month and then emailed to query as the prize not received. After and exchange of emails I was told that no replacement merchandise is available from the promoter. I can understand this so I said that I would be happy with a DVD. This is the response I got:
I understand that the Terms & Conditions of our Competitions do say that we cannot be made liable for non-delivery or things not arriving in the post.
However, we do make every effort to re-source prizes where possible (which we have done), or provide an alternative if we are able (which we have done).
This may not be comparable to the original prize; and as a charity, we do not have the resources to purchase your requested DVDs.
It does seem to be bad luck I'm afraid - we do know that items were despatched by the competition organiser, so something has either gone missing in the post, delivered to the wrong address, been damaged or been pilfered!
Should anything be returned to the office, we will, of course, re-pack up and re-post to yourself.
So it appears that they are saying tough luck! June and July have been pants for wins for me so this is adding insult to injury!!
Has anyone had dealings with Scene Central in the past - is this worth taking any further do you think?

It may be worth getting back to them and pointing out that, whatever they may have written, the mighty Edwin Mutton says that

"Given the variety and scope of promotional activity there will always be potential for error. Yet, as companies outsource execution and fulfilment, they are failing to take responsibility when things go wrong.
"That is a mistake," says the ISP's Mutton. "The promoter is always responsible for giving the customer what they were promised.""
