it can only happen to me
sittin since 10am waiting on £80 asda home delivery shop
    at 12 still hadnt arrived?
still on phone to asda helpline now after 45 mins
but i phoned the store delivering from mobile,
who say ''you are sadly one of the 33 customers from this store
out of other 30,000 at other stores affected
by a glitch in system where delivery didnt go through
    you should have been contacted''
i said yes i should you have my two phone no's
    my email
but worse they have actually witheld the money in my bank
so i cant get this shopping we desperately need & my visitors are arriving for dinner at 2

i know its not life threatening but it is a dilemma
ive nothing in house for visitors
how come it didnt go through but they have the money pending?

now spoke to them and they say its the bank thats witholding the money
    bank says its not them
so back to asda who say
we have too many customers too contact and cant cancel order till we get round to the other thousands of customers.

my daughter had same problems with asda last year, she's in Uni and caused her problems with no shopping and they had held on to money too :(

she eventually received a £10 voucher!

sorry you had to cancel your friends coming

this is the asda contact us page
I would definitely get in touch in writing/email and explain you had to change plans and were left out of pocket for however long it is

If Asda contact ur banks back office, the bank will drop the pending payment straight back to your acct, otherwise you have to wait so many day, usually 5 working days for it to drop back.

It's not your bank's fault, the system shows Asda requested money so they hold it till Asda collect it, The bank aren't to know Asda have messed up xx

Speak to your bank and ask which dept can deal with this? when u get through to back office ask them for a name and number that if u pass to asda'a head office that asda can fax that you don't owe them anything too xxx

I had this issue with a different merchant a year ago, except the amount was £1500!!!, I'd ordered furniture and it after ordering was out of stock, I couldn't have that much money held up so had to do a fair bit of chasing around.

Asda sent me an email at 1.32 & then an automated phone message at 3.11
saying sorry we couldnt deliver but are applying an £10 evoucher to your account.
I asked bank to help, she says sorry we cant do anything
i sent an email explaining the dilemma they have thrown us into
that was my last cash in bank till Monday.
it still isnt released and i wont know when it is unless i keep checking
& it could be several days

    Hi everyone

Red, sorry to hear about your problem with Asda, that must be so frustrating when you have no food in. :(

Purpleshoes, I have been waiting since 27th march for parcel which should have been 1-2 days delivery! After yet another email sent I'm hoping it will be finally sent out by next week.

Been a glorious sunny day today, had a walk to park to feed animals. Was too tiring to cook so just had fish & chips :D Mmmmm!

Just popped on to say hello. :)

Hope you're having a good holiday Sheils, enjoy Llandudno, we went there last year. :)

Julie, hope you're feeling a bit better today, can you speak to another doctor at your surgery or move to a different surgery?

Redbull, sorry to hear your shopping didn't turn up. I know they've offered you £10, but I'd still write and complain and explain the inconvenience!

I caught up with some comps yesterday afternoon for the first time in ages! No wins this month yet, but I'm doing well for freebies! :)

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday.

    Lily x
