The spiritual side of life is very very important to me, it matters a lot. TY re warning on food prices Kits:)

Oh that is me too mardatha, sometimes I just have to have space to get closer to nature too and just to be. That is probably why I haven`t posted on this thread for ages as sometimes it is so `busy` and my mind works overtime, responding loads but in my head.

As the prices are going up then it is `forcing `more and more to get to the base level ie survival level which is also called the root chakra. This is the self preservation level.

Maybe this explains why many of us feel happier now than when life was `easy`

I went to Tesco today for a shop for the first time in weeks and got a shock by some of the price rises. Tinned sardines, which are a great cheap protein source (although I buy them for the dog :o ) have gone up 12p since I bought them last, about four weeks ago - that 25% how can that be? all the loss leaders were the usual junkfood. I am going to seriously have to rethink how and what we eat. Also, wafer thin chicken in 70g packs, which I buy once in a blue moon for DS2 for sandwiches has gone up to 70p, when I first bought it last year it was 55p a pack

Fingers crossed everything goes well for you tomorrow Sammy

I love the candle idea. I went to bed stressed out of my mind last night and miserable. Today I am calmer and while not quite happy, I am much more myself. Thank you all.

I don't care how cheap pot noodles get, I'd rather eat dry bread. One of the child's favourites is those 10p noodles. He loves them...I am assuming he will grow tastebuds as he gets older?

Just popping back with a thought for Softstuff - can you record a short message for your friend which your mum can play to her? I know a few people who have done this and the doctors have said that whilst the patient doesnt appear to respond they think it does get through - and I know it made the senders feel at sense of ease to have been able to "speak" their final message when not there as it were. ((HUGS))

What a wonderful idea kidcat, hearing is the last sense we lose as we begin to fade, how peaceful to hear the voice of loved ones as embark our final journey.

Softstuff, I second Mardatha's post. On a soul level I am sure she will be aware that you are sending her love and light and willing her to pass peacefully.

I have prayed for my animals to pass peacefully when their time has arrived, and on one occasion I did see this little creature's spirit rise from her body like a ball of blue energy. I know it was her way of saying thank you for the prayers. So I know that prayer/loving thoughts do work.

Some time ago I read about an incident where someone was driving along in their car and saw an accident take place ahead of them. They started praying for the person driving the car that had just had an accident and were really praying very hard that they would be okay. Some while later on in their life the person involved in the car accident came across the driver and thanked them for praying for her at the time this accident happened. The driver asked how she knew that a driver behind HAD been praying for her and the reply was something along the lines of "Because I was nearly dead at that time and I could see clearly that someone was praying hard for me and that it was you - so I recognise you now I managed to live and get well and I wanted to thank you for what you did.".

So - if this car accident victim was able to see a total stranger praying hard for her at the time of the accident - then Soft Stuff I'm sure your friend will be well aware at some level that you are thinking positively of her. Distance doesnt matter - she WILL know at some level that you are with her in spirit.

Maybe a dehydrator would be good for those of you near to shops -as well as those with allotments. Then you can buy loads of whoopsied carrots or leeks or onions and dehydrate them for soup mix in winter ? Also apples ?
