And punctuation and because they don t use paragraphs in their text and because they want to make you laugh and cheer your day up. I can spell and use paragraphs but not great in using it and keyboards so that is how it comes out but you ve just shown me how shallow you are and how you judge other people no wonder this country is going down the pan with nastiness like that;)0

saveabobortwo wrote: »:)trying to give them a laugh and cheer them up to forget about their worry problems was nothing more than kind intentions to other people out there from my end who cares about a silly star but was trying to be humorous give people a break from their woes and take their mind of their worries for a moment or two. No games here just trying to be kind and have a bit of a giggle . But realise now that some folks don t want to be cheered up and take everything that someone is trying to do in a negative way you for instance have spent your time adding my posts instead of enjoying your life in order to send me a very hurtfull post i hope you feel good about yourself.if other people do not want a character like me on money saving old style then thats fine i will leave and never post again but sincerely my intentions were good no alterior motive to gain stars i mean its not as if i win a prize now is it ? Grow up.:)
If members don't want to see posts from certain people then MSE has the ignore facility or you can just skim over those posts, no harm done, no need to make a big deal of it. Life has a tendency to throw bigger problems at us than forum posting styles so I prefer to "not sweat the small stuff".
I think one of the greatest gifts in life is tolerance, none of us really know the problems we may have or what our lives are like in the real world so on forums it's nice be tolerant and welcome new people. It would be a shame if the thread ended up cliquey and posters with a different view or posting style felt unable to come here, something which it has sadly been accused of in the past.
Yes the thread does meander a little bit (hence the fact we've been to the arms & back) but as long as posts aren't deliberately nasty, abusive or completely off topic there shouldn't be a problem. We're all grown ups, we can ignore the things we don't like and embrace things we do. It really shouldn't be a case of "fit in with us" because this thread doesn't belong to anyone, it isn't ours, it's a thread for all.
To keep it on topicthe sun is actually shining today and it's not raining :T so I can get things on the line instead of having wet washing draped round the house.

O .2 IN THE ARMY and could of carried on to captain for all those people out there who have trouble with their spelling do not take any notice of the rude poster aboves comments you can do anything good at spelling or not.;)0

just wanted to point out that this thread in its various forms have been closed regularly due to going off topic. at one time it was removed from OS altogether, it would be a great shame if that happened again.
I appreciate that we don't all have the same humour or views, and that is what gives this thread its draw for many - it is particularly welcoming, however if it becomes disrupted by one or two posters, it becomes difficult for the rest.
I hope that no-one stops posting as a result of today - that would be a shame.
like others I receive emails for new posts and also often use my phone to access the thread - trawlling through loads of new posts is incredibly difficult.0 -
The sun is shining here too, must try and get some washing on the line.
I am sat here covered in ibuprofen cream with a heat pack on my shoulder. Unfortunately the arthiritis bout has absolutely floored me. So am trying to potter about and keep mobile. Am seeing the Doc tomorrow as the nurse found my Bp is very high (something I have never had trouble with) Generally I feel lousy but determined to beat this. Havent tried the nettle tea so am going to do that now.
Going to have to have my baking day today after I have watched Kirstys homemade home again. I would hate to come back and find the thread closed again as I love my daily natter with my friends.
Also I need to bath the rabbit as, like smileyt's chicken, he is having rear end probs (old age and insanity - the rabbit not me and smileyt:rotfl:)Clearing the junk to travel light

fortunately it doesn't appear to be the case here that users will be banned for merely enjoying a thread as after all os is often held up to be the friendliest of boards?
perhaps that poster you rather rudely refer to ss dyslexic, did you bother to find out?
Sigh.
1. No, I'm not suggesting anyone should be banned, merely that there are places that are so much stricter on spam than this place.
2. Read my post again. Then dare to tell me who I referred to as potentially dyslexic - ME. I suggested that their posting style (no punctuation) was difficult for ME to read because of MY problems reading long sentences that aren't broken up.saveabobortwo wrote: »are you insinuating that people with Dyslexia are stupid ?, my brother in law suffered with this and suffered terribly at school from bullying his life was made unbearable but he over came it and despite his poor handwriting went on to became W. Perhaps before calling someone rude you should double check you've understood what they've said? My apologies if it wasn't clear, but I remarked that many have said I MAY BE DYSLEXIC. Not you.
Secondly, no dyslexic people aren't sodding well stupid. Please refrain from putting words in my mouth.
I never commented on yours or anyone else's spelling. My only issue with you is your tendency to spam (which, read up on it, cute and jokey or not, the sheer frequency means it is spam sadly) and the fact that you don't tend to break up your paragraphs or even sentences. That makes it HARD for ME to read.On the up
