Mardatha - good to hear your son is on the mend.
Oldtractor - welcome - I think many people are finding most months similar to yours, I know I am. My OH gets paid weekly and I find that he is paid on Thurs and I think myself lucky if theres anything left by Monday.
Today is really sunny but freezing cold, and I feel like weeping. I have no date for the move and tomorrow we are supposed to hand in our keys fr here, obvioulsy I am not going to do that and the LL will have to go through the official channels and I just pray we are able to go before it gets any further, but I have to tell the agent that we are not moving. I have put it off - firstly because I was hoping on having a specific date to give them (but vendor solicitor is ignoring my solicitors calls) and secondly cos I am being a coward. However having received a letter today from the moving compnay of the person moving in here offering their services (at a frightful cost) I can avoid it no more and now have to call - unfortunately I am shaking and all I can get is the answer machine. I feel so foolish for being so cowardly and upset at this.
Kids are all at school today and OH is at work so I am sat alone freezing and worrying.
have sold some more bits on ebay but am beginning to think its way more trouble than its worth, after the last debacle with the cooker I should have just given the stuff away but figured to give it one more chance. I sold a few baby items for a couple of quid each saying strictly collevction only - one guy buys and then requests postage costs, then when I reluctantly work out cost he starts demanding it be wrapped in bin bags and keep his cost down!! Another insisted on paying by paypal for a 99p item that she will collect today. It really seems much more hassle than its worth.
Sorry for the long moan - I gues its just one of those days.
On a OS side my plants are all growing well and the potatoes are all at the top of the bag already. Courgettes are growing madly and my cucumber seeds have arrived today. The cucumber seeds had better do well as DS7 uses alot of cucumber in a week and its not unknown for us to use up six a week.

Hugs kidcat hope you hear something soon . All I can say is pester the solicitors like mad and make yourself a pain in the ars!! Really make it plain that you must have a date because you face serious consequences from your landlord. Sometimes people just dont see the problems they are causing to someone else by being slack..it may just help if they get sick of you phoning. Moving, selling and buying..infact anything housing related is so stressful so I will keep everything crossed for you!
I may have some good news of my own ...but would rather not say at the moment, just in case I jinx it ,but just try wiping the smile of my face!
Kids are all back at school tomorrow and I cant wait to get back into my usual routine..for all of 3 1/2 weeks and then school breaks up again for spring bank! The house needs a serious tidy up so I need to get on with it in the morning instead of coming on here!JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200

Hello everyone!
I have been reading. Have been a bit off colour so things have not been very OS. We had too much food wasted this week because I wasn't on top of things. Still I won't beat myself up. I am feeling better so I hope to get back on track this week.
The garden is taking shape. We have enjoyed some of the salad leaves that are ready. I really need to sort out a water butt.
Grey Queen, I can't find the 'tough times' thread where you explained how you watered your courgette plants. I am hoping to get mine planted out soon and want to try the way you water your using the plastic milk bottles sunk in the ground. Do you cut out the bottom and put holes in the side?GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

OLD TRACTOR - I agree - many people are starting to feel the pinch and I know we for one are having to reign in our spending if we want to even think about getting a council house in the near future.
I will not be spending anything unnecessary this month as I have a friends wedding on the 21st, my sons birthday on the 26th and we brought tickets back in February to go and see John Bishop which is on May 28th. So that is my treat for the month but then I'll be not spending again and hoping to make ends meet because barely 3 weeks later is my partners birthday and exactly 3 weeks after him is my daughters first birthday!:eek: and then for me its starting to think about xmas
Mardatha - they were scarily organised and I agree its realtime on sunday at 9pm - although just read the episodes are online so will sneak there for a peek too. I wish we had those sorts of deals here!
Well I have got this photo to make you all smile.

found a cross stitch Im super close to finishing - if anyone else cross stitches or has cute patterns do they fancy swapping?? I've also found my sewing box!
Decided too that I loved having penpals when I was younger so now I've joined a free site (if anyone wants the address feel free to PM me!) and am starting to find myself some penfriends - both online and letter writing!
Productive day - now minnie asleep and ben is chilling - found out too he prefers the coop baked bread to our usual braces so will buy some more when its reduced down to 20p at end of the night.Time to find me again0 -
Thank you Sammy that certainly made me smile, and I agree with her, bourbon creams are my favourites too
