Shes a mucky pup - although in fairness what possessed me to give her a chocolate biscuit when she was wearing a white baby grow I have no idea!

Jackie - its weird - her eyes look much darker when you see her in person but they are always bright blue in pictures.

She has newly discovered screaming and the word 'wah' which I think is her phrase for 'what'.
    Time to find me again

    Hi all, thought I'd pop in. Bless the littl'un - she's a sweetie. :)

Thought I'd give an update on the last few days. Not a lot has happened, but have spent an awful lot of time outside either gardening or enjoying the sunshine one way or another. Sadly that means I've neglected indoor chores but I'll get caught up on those during the week and the weekend isn't that far away for a bigger clean. Here goes:

Have planned meals for the next two weeks. Whether we have them in the order planned isn't a problem as it means I'll do one big shop and we can pick and choose.
Have done a thorough shopping list of only what we need (rather than what we'd like). If there are any offers, I'm not going to get them. Save in the mean time and all that.
Have sown a row of carrot seeds in a new trough. Hopefully the birds'll keep away from it although I'll be planting a couple of garlic bulbs alongside to help. Thanks for the tips on planting - much appreciated.
Checked the weather forecast for the next week and the expected temperatures won't dip below freezing and there's very little rain planned, so I'll try and water the lawn with any spare water I get. I must remember to prong it with a fork to help it along a bit... It still needs the moss raking out of it, but that's another job that'll get done during the week.
Have started teaching myself to sew. Seams, this time, rather than cross stitches. I'm turning a pair of old boxer shorts in a funky pattern into a necktube like this and lining it with fleece for winter. That's my first project. Then, a friend has asked me to design her a pole dancing outfit for a competition. We'll see how that one turns out!
Started improving my physical fitness. In an attempt to save money, I thought I'd slim down into some of my clothes rather than buying new ones. Luckily it isn't taking as long as I thought. I used to be a real gym bunny and it's coming back...
    Got tea all organised
Been speaking to a colleague who has promised me a couple more troughs. Now he has an allotment, he's changed his gardening style. As I can't do much to our place, I'm doing my veg in tubs so that will be very useful indeed.

Apart from some groundwork with friends that also enjoy gardening, that's about it. I've offered my services to a friend to help her out if she ever needs a hand processing a glut of something or other, or to go gathering berries, etc. Should be good (all being well).

    Keep well everyone.

    Sammy, that picture is gorgeous!

I have cleaned downstairs - it has taken me most of the day. Tomorrow will be upstairs cleaning and ironing. I do tidy up when the house elf is off school, but it's not the same as being able to put everything away and clean properly. I have some stuff that I need to bag up for the charity shop, and I also need to make an effort and ebay some things. I thought you could choose how you get paid Kidcat? You used to be able to choose cash or cheque only (I do allow paypal). I'll have a look later if I get a chance unless someone else knows.

    Take care all of you.

    Hello everyone!

I have been reading. Have been a bit off colour so things have not been very OS. We had too much food wasted this week because I wasn't on top of things. Still I won't beat myself up. I am feeling better so I hope to get back on track this week.

The garden is taking shape. We have enjoyed some of the salad leaves that are ready. I really need to sort out a water butt.

Grey Queen, I can't find the 'tough times' thread where you explained how you watered your courgette plants. I am hoping to get mine planted out soon and want to try the way you water your using the plastic milk bottles sunk in the ground. Do you cut out the bottom and put holes in the side?

'Twill be the previous Tough Times thread to this one - so check the first post on this thread - it should be the last link out of the ones given for our previous Tough Times threads.

EDIT: Just checked - its the T.T. thread called "How to get through the Tough Times the Old Style way" on that first link in this installment of the T.T. thread.

Cranky - I specified pay cash on collection but eBay insist on paypal being offered as well, and the buyer is obviously being awkward for the fun of it.
Had word from landlord and they very unhappy, basically told me I had to find somewhere else and be gone by Thursday, I explained that it was not possible and apologised, but they were not budging. Thankfully I know where I stand legally or I would be distraught by now. They complained that we hadn't gone into rented - which we told you to do when we first told you go leave!!!
Solicitor says we won't get a date till at least next week and not to expect to be out by next rent period either. It never rains but it pours.:)

Have splurged on takeaway pizza for tonight and feel guilty now.
