Do you mean a frame for them to go in or one for them to climb up?
If it's for them to climb up, you could use string, as long as you've got something to tie it to at the top.0 -
my yoghurts worked out well, I add a little dried milk powder to thicken it BTW. the cottage cheese didnt do,so I reheated the milk and added a litle lemon juice am awaiting results. I made a massive pan on various greens from the allotment, cooked with carrots and barley and added lots of allotment herbs. tastes fine but theres enough for the whole street.0

Hello, One of our cabbage varieties is suitable for sauerkraut. Wondered if anyone has made any and has any hints.I have instructions on how to do it and did have a go many moons ago but through ignorance and neglect it didn't work.I am really anxious to use everything to advantage this year as our income(OAP) is small and as with you all the buying power shrinks daily,so I am looking for alternative methods of preserving (other than freezing as that costs money to run).I should also like to pickle cucumbers. Not in malt vinegar, but like those lovely gherkins (Polish or German) in dill vinegar. If anyone could point me in the right direction to do eitherof these I should be so happy ! I should also like the methods to sterilize them if they are any different the usual way. Thanks again for all the hints and tips, which seem to be coming in bucketfulls in the past few days.

Problem is fitting a 25kg sack of flour in a freezer. But those are definitely one guest not invited to the party!!!:D0 -

DH doesn't want me to use the flask to make it and obviously I can't make 'radiator' yog so I was thinking about sitting some on a hot water bottle. What do you think, good or terrible idea? (I'm renowned for the latter!)
It's a long time ago since I made yogurt, but I used to place a baking dish over a slow cooker of water ( just over it not touching) and leave the lid off, does it overnight.0 -
By the way, anyone heard from GQ lately?0
