If you have respect for each other - these things don't make a blind bit of difference in my opinion.
It is just more straight forward if you agree on these things.:beer:0 -

That is what I am going for. She likes Radio dramas and she has some audio books on CD, so it seems a good thing that she might like.
Thats a very generous gift Phil
I'm sure she'd be thrilled to get that but wouldn't it be nicer to get her a plain silver, gold or white gold bangle or necklace which she can wear all the time? Its a little more personal imo.
Edit: Necklaces

Thats a necklace with a large heart pendant Phil ~ I think I would go for something a little more delicate!
I would definitely stick with the jewelry in John Lewis rather than buying from Argos

Thats really nice studentphil much better than a religious symbol imo but I agree that maybe something a bit less personal would be more appropriate until you really know her.0 -

I do not know, I do not really like necklaces anyway. I just can never seem to find many that I like.
I am probably too fussy!
I like rings much better, but rings always seen as a sign of promise or something. I am sure if she will be in my life in 2 months time, 2 years time, 20 years time. As much as I would perfer a ring, I just dont know it sends out the right signal!:beer:0 -
In rings I like really plain and nothing with big stones in.

You can always buy a friendship ring ~ it doesn't have to symbolise an engagement or promise of anything!“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
