At the stage you are in your relationship you do not really know her so do not know what she would really like ..she would much rather have a cheaper thoughtful gift that does not make her feel uncomfortable about the money you have spent.
totally agree with this point. My first boyfriend bought me a gold watch for our first christmas - we had been going out for all of 8 weeks. While i loved the watch I found it very hard to accept - I was worried about what it was implying.
We ended up going out for about 3 years, so shouldn't have been too worried, but it also set an expensive precendent for presents.
I suggest something simple, that will mean something to her. So for example if you know that she loves a specific band - try and get her tickets for a gig or soemthing. If you buy two tickets you can go with her
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

Going back to the OP, I MAY have found the PERFECT Christmas gift, I'm not sure if the price comes in on budget, but here goes anyway.
Perfect Christmas gift for the woman in your life
Please be warned, it is a little bit naughty.:T

Jewellery. Something tasteful. My OH brought me a silver star necklace from H Samuel for our first Christmas (we'd been togethr 6 weeks). It's gorgeous, I wear it every day, it suits me perfectly and i know it cost around £30. Not the money that's important, just that he took the time to pick something i'd so obviously adore.0

We go out, but I do not love her yet and I thought when I found the girl of my dreams that I would fall in love with her straight away.:beer:0 -
Anything clothing has to be at most accessories. Still winter to get thro so while I don't actually suggest scarf there are nice ones and it is a fashion thing so at least keep eye open for those and similar as fallback while looking for other things or for mum or other relatives.Sorry my posts so long - not time write shorter ones.0

Love takes time phil - it will not happen straight away..... you need to know the person first and then, when you start to develop feelings for a person, you WILL know.....studentphil wrote:We go out, but I do not love her yet and I thought when I found the girl of my dreams that I would fall in love with her straight away.Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.0 -
I started seeing my current bf on 17th December. On valentines day he bought me a necklace from Ernest Jones (£70) a bear from the bear factory wearing the necklace, a red rose and some proper fireworks which he took me into a field and set off for me. I was swept away.
Don't buy her a St Cristopher unless she is very religious. I wouldn't wear it tbh. Nor would I wear yellow gold, however i'm more than happy with silver even though it is cheaper.
I think jewellery, perhaps a silver or whire gold charm bracelet0
