Firewall for Win7?

Hi, In the past I used PC Tools Firewall Plus with WinXP.

Any advice on whether to use it with Win7 or just use the Win7 firewall, or what?

Windows firewall is safe and secure, never had any problems with it.

Unless you require full control of incoming and outgoing connections (most dont) then windows inbuilt firewall is fine

Either way, PC TOOLS latest incarnation isnt very good, id recommend COMODO if you do require full control

It really isnt. In fact you should really think about uninstalling it (windows inbuilt firewall is far safer)

    Comodo is great +1

I use AVAST for antivirus, and Comodo as firewall, great free combo.

Is it worth me replacing my free version of PC Tools Firewall Plus (V6 I think) for Comodo?

    I would

Bear in mind though that comodo has other functions. If you want an easy time of it, switch off its DEFENSE mode (And make sure you dont install its antivirus too)

I've got Avast as my AV program so I don't need the Comodo one.
Probably a daft question, but what does the Defense mode do?
