Morning all
Still in bed with lappie as don't work Mondays and neither does OH.
I got up early to let Dollycat out so that OH could sleep as DD has to be picked up from the station at 11.33 this evening.
Then I made OH and myself a cuppa tea in bed and put a load of washing in the WM and now he is washing up and tidying the kitchen.
Dollycat is asleep on my bed snuggled up to my legs.
What to do today?
I need cheering up as I read in yesterdays paper that the govt is planning for women 56 and 57 to work longer before getting the state pension. It's bad enough that I am in the group that got pensions moved from 60 to 64 in my case but now if these proposals go through it will be 66 for me.
Anyone in a similar situation lobby your MP-Age UK calls the proposals "draconian" and is calling for us to be protected.
Sorry rant over.
Well....in a minute I shall do the radiator dance to air off yesterdays washing that got caught in torrential rain and was put on the clothes horse to dry. Clean the bathroom and look for a recipe to use up yesterday's chicken. Have to ring up Southern Electric to sort out applying for paperless billing for electricity and gas.
Have arranged to join a 12 week weightloss challenge today led by the instructor at the gym where I do my active fit sessions referred by the doc.
JulieG congrats on your weight loss and Jackieglasow keep going! Any tips? I eat in the evening. Hate tv too tired for hobbies....
Hugs to all who need them.
Back later.
Have a good day.

Hi, well i posted a bit just after Xmas but then went missing so am gonna try again.
Today i am determined to get the clothes mountains put away and the bedroom cleaned- trying to get on top of the housework before the kids break up on Friday. I also need to do a little more decorating in the kitchen as we are away next week- i'm also going to Edinburgh zoo! Need a few more cheap ideas of what to do in Edinburgh.
I also am getting on top with paperwork- census sent, student finance begun to sort and house insurance to ring up. I am getting hassled cos i think it's up for renewal but not had my policy through yet to say yeh or neh to.
Chicken portions defrosting for tea. Oh and DS2 at home today with a poorly tum. Need to get applying for his secondary school place this week too without getting myself distressed over it.
Any way nose to the grind stone
Have good days0 -

We are doing Camera Obscura next week in Edinburgh salt n pepper and possibly doing the castle too. Have you looked at the Scotrail website, kids go free on the train, and you can also get free kids' entry into certain attractions too with your train package. (the reduced entry offer for the zoo is on until the 8th) http://www.scotrail.co.uk/kids-go-free/kids-go-free-dealsIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

DW filled and on. Bin emptied and new bin bag put in. Sorted the landing upstairs so I can use it while doing the room of doom.
Added a couple of things to the shopping list on Mysupermarket.
Tesco 45.31 Asda 34.82 Sainsburys 51.81 Ocado 57.40
Have a guess who is going to get my orderEven with the delivery fee it is still cheaper to get it delivered from Asda than to traipse to town and get in Tesco and pay for a taxi (£5.60) back.
Welcome back Salt and Pepper. I am finding being on here is keeping me motivated to get on with things.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Salt n pepper also thought to tell you about the SPree book, lots of vouchers in there to use for money off food, drinks and days out its £11 as it expires in October but is a good idea for your holiday, you can see what vouchers they have and see if its worth your money for your holiday. I have a Glasgow one which we buy full price, and use every year, and I buy the Edinburgh one around this time of the year for day trips over the spring and summer. https://www.spreebook.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=ilvm_fly_admirable.tpl&product_id=81&category_id=28&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=90 (there's also a huge discount on Alton Towers tickets, and a discount for Legoland and Chessington amongst other places not in Edinburgh)It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
