    JulieG......Wow fantastic weight loss smiley-gen014.gif

nmlc..... hope today is not too stressful.
Woke up this morning with toothache tooth.gif so will see if I can get in to see the dentist ( I really begrudge what I have to pay dentists and opticians), but I would rather not be in pain.
I am hoping that my new scooter batteries come today if they don't I will cancel the order and go elsewhere.
Apart from that nothing much planned so I will say TTFN x

Honey, yes they did. His teacher was only in school till 11.00 and they didn't have time for him to show her. So she put it under her chair to share with him on Fri. But didn't explain to him what was happening and him being him didn't understand that he hadn't shown anyone and went into melt down on me and needed to bring it home "because it was Nanny's and might get lost". So we bought it home.

She came into school on Friday and couldn't find it and spoke to DC2 who told her we had taken it home so she asked me to send it in with him today. He was very pleased about it, I must say.

NMLC, sorry to hear about your day, I am glad everyone ate it though. Maybe go on strike where your DH is concerned, don't do his washing and dinner etc. Show him how he would miss you not being there for him.

Right first list of the day :D

Brood breakfasted, showered, dressed, lunch boxes made, PE kit ready, easter bonnet in a bag, kenyan stuff by the door. Brood picked up by Dad to go to school.

Coffee made, breakfast TV on, sat in chair listening to peace and feeling " aaaahhhh!!"

ETA: Butterfly, sorry to hear about your toothach, it's rotten when teeth niggle.

    Morning All,

Sunny and bright here today again. The dog's bedding is in the WM, she is destroying a tennis ball the OH gave her - I am not sure its a good idea, but it's done, now. The boys are in bed having a lie in as it's the first day of the Easter hols here, and we were out very late last night to dinner with MIL. They are at school for ten days in the next five weeks. Bonkers. I have used half of my annual leave just for this month

Plan for the day is everything I didn't bother doing yesterday, I took myself off to bed at one and slept until four thirty, I think the rash must be viral as I am not feeling quite right. I blew the diet last night too, but am just counting it as having a day off ;) Lots to do, and I need to get organised for a picnic for tomorrow, me and the boys are off to Edinburgh Zoo whilst poor daddy is at work. We will get the train and the bus, as kids go free on the train, and I won't have the stress of driving :) and the zoo has a special offer on just now of £10 for adults and £5 for kids - which is still a lot of money but much better than the full price. I am not sure how I feel about zoos, but I think the conservation work makes me feel a bit better about the whole thing :o Anyway, we are looking forward to it, we had loads of fun planning our day, yesterday.

Well done on the weight loss JulieG, That's about where I hope to be, this time next year. Fingers crossed. Speaking of which I am off to do my Biggest Loser game. Really CBA but needs must. OMG it has just started pouring down outside!

    Have a great day everyone.

Tigerfeet - Glad you got it resolved. Luckily teacher sounds understanding. My DD's teacher is great and goes out of her way to make things as stress free for the kids at school as she can. She's pretty much happy to do anything to help :D

    morning all

very tired here. had a helicopter hovering at 2am this morning shining its spotlight everywhere then police cars with flashing lights(no sirens) going up and down. couldnt get back to sleep after that  hope they found whatever they were looking for cos for once i was having a good sleep

mothers day yesterday started off well. ds 'fed' me breakfast in bed, poured me a bath (with help from daddy although judging by the amount of bubbles, daddy didnt help much:rotfl:) and then he was being very helpful by 'helping' to wash my hair and tipped half a bottle of shampoo over my head . the plan was they were cooking dinner. but we went to visit the in laws and they insisted that we went out for dinner with them so alan said yes  was really annoyed with him for that. i've yet to have a mothers day where we've not pampered the mil  was looking forward to a day at home being pampered. typically he doesnt get it. he just thinks i resent the fact that his mum is still around and mine isnt  when actually i resent the fact that everything has to be about her! it drives me mad! she has had two strokes yet still eats rubbish, drinks all the time (not like an alcoholic iykwim?) and generally has an unhealthy lifestyle yet she expected to be waited on hand and foot after second stroke! her partner (not alans dad) has also had a stroke! argh

didnt mean to turn that into a rant :o:o:rotfl:

erm os - got a load of washing on the line. nice and sunny here but i think rain is forecasted for later.

just taken some chicken out of the freezer and not sure what to do with it... will need to think.

really feel like doing something today but i dont know what!

hope everyone has a good day

ps ds is back to normal now. so much so he brought 3 worms in from the garden yesterday

It shocked me, tbh, she usually is as unhelpful as she possibly can be. She doesn't really 'get' DC2 and seems to have labelled him a naughty child though she is very much aware we think he may be on the spectrum. But I am so happy about it.

Beef, onion and brocolli stir fry tonight, I think.

Loulou, sorry to hear about your disturbed night. Glad to read that the melatonin has arrived :)

How about stuff the cavity with quartered lemons and put herbs, garlic and s&p on the top and shove it in the SC.

Seems strange being off, it's the spring holidays for us, JackieG we are in for 6 working days in April! Hope you enjoy your visit to Edinburgh Zoo tomorrow - don't agree with them myself but as you say the conservation work makes it bearable and of course the children like it.

DD just gone off to her new job, she has been given a uniform but the trousers didn't fit! She has just worn her own and will sort it out when she gets there. No washing today, washed everything that wasn't nailed down yesterday! Also did the tons of ironing that had accumulated so feeling quite pleased with myself. Glad it's all done as it is raining here. DS2 theatening to come home next week so will go and give his room a freshen up and wash the windows up that set of stairs inside and out.

DS1 and GF went for a baby scan on Friday and in his excitement he told me it is a girl. Cue grumpy me as I didn't want to know but hey-ho, I do now!

Off to do some cleaning before I have a shower, DW on and that's about it! Take care. XX

    Hi everyone,

I'm trying a new routine today, I think it's going to take some time to settle into things but I am so happy not to be going to work (sorry all those of you who would like to be in my position, I'm really not gloating, I know how lucky I am).

I have to go to get a repair quote on the car after my crash on Friday and also to return my library boooks. I've also joined the Flylady thread so today I shall sort the bedroom.

Then I have to go into work - my replacement is off this week on a pre-booked holiday so I was asked if I would go in to minute a meeting.

JulieG, well done on the weight loss, I need to get going again now he weather is better, I eat too much in the winter.

nmlc & loulou grr that sounds really frustrating with the OHs :( *hugs*

Morning all, just wolfing down some porridge before I embark on the day from hell :P Well, slightly dramatic but I'm really not looking forward to my exam or coming home and finishing the cleaning for LL tomorrow! OS today is cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning, and making a batch of bread rolls.
