Right, OP, there are a few words that stand out.

Drug addict

Drink

Violence

Criminal record/known to police


These are the important ones.

Get an injunction out (or whatever they are called now). Press charges for criminal damage/assault/threatening behaviour. Report him every single time and never drop it. Don't take the disinterested reaction of the police as acceptable.

And NEVER EVER communicate with him, go to see him, email, FB, chat, invite or interact in any way with him.


He's been banned from bars. Well, get him banned from bothering you then.

My first post was my immediate reaction. Steer clear, but I would like you to change your password/privacy seetings/perhaps email? for any site your ex has come into contact with, as it seems he is stalking you in an obsessive (scary) way. Especially if he is noting peoples passwords.

No simple infatuation, he has shown violence to you on a numerous times. Make your own personal safety your priority. Hopefully if he has had form for this sort of thing before, he will get a prison sentence. He has no right to let you live in fear.
