eBid support happy for seller to relist after he wasn't happy with auction price

Wow, how bizarre to follow me to one of the forums I use.
Interestingly the original thread on ebid (that was there since the 19th of March without attracting the ire of moderators) was removed after I posted the update that ebid support had allowed the seller to relist the item and removed my negative feedback about the seller's non-performance. Such a terrible way to handle a situation; I'd waited until the outcome of ebid's investigation before posting elsewhere about it.

yes lets investigate your claim a little deeper the auction your so upset about had one hour or so to run no bids and only 24 views no doubt most of them views by yourself you bid and no other bids were placed. so you calculated there would be very little chance anyone else would bid so in effect you stalked the sellers item no regard for the seller making a mistake,no regard for the seller if they made a huge loss you expected to gain a £100 electrical item for a penny, as for ebid support only they know why they took the desision they did it is looking though they made the right one, from what i can see or when i first had my attention to your posts you have not left these two forums in over 48hrs you have slanderd ebid and the seller in question non stop labouring a point over a penny deal you lost out on, a thread that was deleted you antisepated would be removed so you had a link to it ready copied ! this is not a case of you won a bargain its a case of you praying on a inexperienced seller hoping to rip them off ! theres something very odd about a person who relentlesly sits at the bottom of a thread for over 48hrs waiting to justify a scam they were not sucsesfull in achiving !0 -

Stalking an auction? Are there so few bidders on ebid that it's unheard of for keen buyers to follow an auction closely?
I've listed stuff for 99p, which sold with 1 bid, and I had even underestimated postage, I wasn't happy but I don't think my buyers were scammers, they were just lucky.
On the other hand as a buyer I've come across good bargains which I expected to be honoured.0 -
It's also called common courtesy, and it wouldn't hurt if you exercised it every once in a while. Yes, legal binding, but seriously... 1 cent? Why would you want to be so cruel? I treat people the way I would want to be treated the best I can. I remember back in 2009 I won a Core 2 Duo PC on ebay for £38!! The thing was worth a good £250. I emailed the seller and asked if he wanted to sell it at that price, and if not, not to worry as I wouldn't mind if he canceled the transaction as it was way to cheap. He thanked me a million times over and sold it on for £190.0

It's a little worrying that you think bidding on and winning an auction is a 'scam' or 'stalking', and I really don't think after reading the above (and your join date) that you are in any position to call anyone else a stalker.
Frankly your post and behaviour is bizarre.0 -

I can definitely see where you are coming from, but the difference is that the seller contacted you to sort it out. This one just ignored my very polite emails and relisted the next day. He never asked to cancel the sale or negotiate on price or anything - all things I would have considered given the price and the high likelihood that he'd pull out no matter what I agreed to.
Given the absence of contact, and the relisting - do you think it was an experience that deserved anything other than a negative? My main complaint is that ebid removed the feedback and allowed the relisting after their investigation.
I've never listed anything at a minimum price I couldn't handle (even when I was new to ebay), and have lived with items going for the minimum bid in the past. How should I know what he's willing to give away for cheap, considering what people give away for free on Freecycle and Freegle all the time.0 -
And this, folks, is why ebid will never take off.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

You give the impression that Ebid is a start up company, it was started in 1998, actually before Ebay UK was officially set up. Using being new as an excuse is not a valid one.
Yes that is true...eBid is not a new site but I like to think that what happened to the OP was a rare occurrence on eBid.
I have been trading there for about 5 years now and I have had spells of selling regularly and other times when I didn't.
I sell fewer items on eBid than I did when I traded on eBay but at least I don't pay huge fees to list unsold items.0
