Yes, it is the Co-op Cashminder, you get a Debit card, normal bank statements etc and internet banking if needed. My experience with this account and the Co-op in general was great.

Glad your feeling better, you never know whats around the corner, thats life I guess, but you are doing the right thing facing your situation head on will get you through this much easier than just burying your head in the sand (That was me lol)

Good luck on your journey :)

If i go for the co-operative one is it the cashminder account i need?
just wanted to say thanks to everyone today, your all so kind and i do feel a bit better now x

it is likely that the lloyds account will be closed. the only two know friendly accounts are the coop and barclays ones.

yes, it's the cashminder account at the coop. i have this one and haven't had any problems with it. good luck, things will get better x

that's not a silly question.. :) when i opened my account i told her i was going br and the woman didn't bat an eyelid. it's well known that that account is br friendly so don't worry.

I found it useful to tell the Co-op I was going BR as they note the account and are then not surprised when they hear from the OR, helps to keep the account open.

If your ex screams at you, just hang up the phone or shut the door in his face. Do that enough times and he'll realise screaming gets him nowhere and may start to face up to a reasonable conversation. Supernanny for exes! :rotfl:
