When charges are ongoing during a claim.

Apologies if this is already covered. I've sent a '14 day' letter to my bank requesting a refund of charges. I'm now about to proceed with a court claim. However. extra charges have been applied to my account since my original request to my bank. Can I add these to my court claim, even though they were not listed in my original letter to my bank?0

Anyone?!!!0

You can increase the sum claimed, just send a final LBA stating
"I shall, unless a full refund is made within X days, issue a claim in the Y County Court, for £Z including any charge levied after the date of this letter but before issue of claim."0 -
SHould I also change the date at the top of the charges spreadsheet?0

Yes you can amend your claim all the way upto filing at court, should you want to amend the claim after you have filed at court you will need to submit an N244 at a cost of £35 which you can not reclaim.the way forward is the consumer action group .co.uk0 -
Hi
I sent of my AQ about a week and a half ago (recorded delivery). I am claiming back £750 incl. of court costs.
I have just had a look at my account and HSBC have charged me £150 in charges this month! I have been claiming my money back since December and I am wondering if it is possible at this stage to add on the charges I have accrued between starting the claim and now (over £200!)?
Would it be possible for me to contact HSBCs lawyers and inform them I am adding these charges? Is this legal?
Would it help speed things along is I called the lawyers and asked then if they needed a breakdown of my costs as they have not asked for this yet? Please help am very stressed and poor!0 -
You can only add the charges at this stage for a cost of £35, see the MoneyClaim online help pages regarding this.
I doubt it would speed anything up by phoning the lawyers to be honest.0 -
THanks so much.
I have been onto MCOL but can't find any info about how to do this - any help or a link would be much appriiated. I am losing hope that I will ever get the money back and starting to think I have done the wrong thing in not accepting the offer if 490 that was made after my second letter.
Any encouragement or tales of people that have come this far and got it back would boost my confidence no end! In people experience how much longer will I have to wiat till I get some news on my court date or a settlement?0
