  • Hi Andre,

To clear a few things up I confirm our Telesales and Web sales both have a 7 day cooling off period which allows you to return your phone should you be unhappy with it. This however is not a free trial and you would have been billed for the time you have used the phone.

As other posters have stated your received a bill and for a refund to have been requested a payment must have been made. In this instance it appears to be a Direct Debit. The bill you received will have stated the amount would be taken on or around a particular date (usually 2-3 weeks after the date on the bill), had there been any issues you should have contacted Customer Services after receiving the bill.

If you still feel you need to take this matter further please refer to our code of practice here: http://www1.orange.co.uk/documents/about/Orange-complaints-code-20110118.pdf

This document details the escalation process for you to follow.

Hope this has cleared up a few things.

What I meant was the phone network gives you a period usually one or two weeks for you to return it from the purchasing date without charge. Thats why I descibed it as a free trial.

Errr... No. Use it for 7 days, pay for 7 days.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
