Fancy teasing DD like that on her birthday :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: thats a really *good* one
I'm glad you don't carry the work-y atmosphere with you on the weekend. Enjoy it :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I refuse to let work overflow into MY life. I don't like it enough & I certainly don't get paid enough to allow that.
My Task List :
Hoovering
Laundry
Ironing
Grass cutting
Soup making
Bathroom cleaning
Hair colouring
Gardening
Not too grim a list; only 2 loads of laundry as one has just finished.I washed the floors yesterday & the place is tidy enough, will get messy tomorrow what with DD working on a project today & then unwrapping things tomorrow.
She is off to The Big Gig with her GG friends this afternoon, so I shall have some time to potter, ponder & plan new ventures.
This is going to be my last month of having to work & budget towards paying off the CC & It's going to be down to the wire as I diverted this months CB payment to the quidco drip fund for holidays. It makes me work harder on achieving the DFdom.
DD has received a generous birthday cheque from rellies (made payable to me as they never remember she has her own account) & she has asked for me to keep it as she knows how expensive the MS Office software is ... awww how sweet & so kind of her, & I really do appreciate the offer, but I bought it for less than £40 & I like to put the money in her account so she'll have money to put towards a car when the time comes.
Must go hang washing out now,
back later ...

Gardening- soon, very soon
It's sooooo hot & sticky here.
Cutting the grass took nearly an hour, but I only had to empty the box 3 times. Compost bin now full up so when The Birthday is over I can relax a bit & concentrate on getting the garden under control again & prepping the veg plot.
It wasn't very clever to have both DDs birthday within a month of the new school year . 'Expensive' doesn't even begin to explain it.
DD is all bathed & straightened ( no mean feat with her mop of curls) & now relaxing. I'm about to gather laundry in & then make her a packed tea for later. Dropping her off at meeting point in an hour & will then come home & make a start on the rest of the tasks.
Preferred task is the one that involves wearing purple gloves & tackling garden stuff accompanied by a G&T.
Well, I'm doing Pippi's store cupboard challenge this month, so have to make the most of what I have; eg two thirds of a bottle of gin & 2 bottles of tonic :rotfl:
bye for now

DD safely despatched & on her way to Wembley to join 29,999 other GGs  will probably hear the squeals from here.
I have my time well planned - an hour of ironing, then an hour in the garden with G&T & glamour mag which arrived today
.
Followed by a bit of tv in the shape of time lords followed by some medieval knightage, then maybe do a bit of washing up or hoovering ... whichever appeals most ... :undecided
*runs off again motivated purely by gin o clock in a hours time*0 -
That sounds so lovely for DD!
Lula, I've just realised - gin is one of *your* drinks, isn't it! If I do manage to get out and pick some more sloes, do you want me to freeze them for you?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Happy Birthday to Little Dd, and you have a fantastic mumxxx...
Lula I feel for you re work.. I am trying to be nice, but ambitious women are a pain in the bottom, while I have little respect for ambitious people, I have honestly found women to be nastier, self serving, she dogs... I am going thru the same thing at the moment... I am genuinely hard working, but this monster changes the goal posts at every opportunity and on a public forum I cant say what I want to... Only that I have so little respect for her/goblin that my blood threatens to boil over when I see her/them
I have worked with truly inspirational women that motivate, its a joy to be around them... but these lot jeez.... Waiting for that lottery win xx 0 -
This evening I watched Lorraine Pascal after you had mentioned her - yummy food! I want some of the salad, looks much more fun than mine
