Had a whole bunch of things to say on SJP, but the moment has passed.

You certainly deserved your ebay rewards. And you deserve a bit of a rest, so I hope you have a fun weekend lined up with DD.

PS I am eagerly awaiting the first volume of your autobiography. I will gladly edit out the bits that are too juicy for the eyes of the sensitive souls on here, but it is very important you include them for me to edit out. Very.

If I was to include juicy bits ... I fear it would be an x rated book ... I have done a fair bit of living & loving in my time ;)

    A largely successful day here in Lulaville;

The beds were stripped & the first laundry load in the machine by 8, we were out the door 15 minutes later & although not strictly necessary, I do like taking DD to school as it means I'm up & out the door early too.

I was in sainsbugs by 8.40 & home again by 9.50. (I wore my new shoes & can report that they are more than equal to the supermarket challenge :j). Laundry relocated from the machine to the garden, second load into the machine & vast quantitites of shopping put away.

    - Note to self : I must do a household & toiletries stock take & inventory list, I keep buying stuff when it's on offer & have no idea whether we need it or not until I get home :o.

I actually withdrew £50 from the cashpoint as I remembered that DD had requested toiletries stuff & we've run out of foil.

Turns out that there were bargainous oven wares to be had, a pack of 3 baking trays half price at £2.63 & one of them is huge, also a huge roasting tin at half price of £5. This was actually a necessary purchase as my usual roastin tin just about fits a small chicken in so has no room for roasted tatties or veg :(.

The tin foil came in 2 sizes, either 10 metres for about £2.40 or if I was prepared to pay £4.90 I could have 40 metres. Figuring that 40 metres might well last me a lifetime or at least a year or 2, I went for the £4.90 option. Toiletries added up to £8.66
, & cat food was another £4. We ( well, to be honest, my neighbours, apparently he'll happily eat their cat's :o:rotfl:) discovered that His Royal Furrniness likes a new variety of wet food & as I'd kinda given up on him ever eating any I was happy to try out their suggestion.

Onwards with the confession; DD & I decided that this should be a 'curry for 2' week so that went in the trolley for £7.49 & all the other groceries came to £30.66.

Ok, my total spend was a rather shocking £63.34p but I am very proud to say that rather than reach for my CC I did in fact use the cash I'd withdrawn & then make up the difference from my pocket money cash that I had on me :D.

I will count the 'curry for 2' in with the grocery spends because it is about 3 meals worth for us & I'm ok with that. I've given up hoping that my home-grown leeks will be sturdy enough for use any time soon, so bought some & will be making a big batch of soup over the weekend.

I made a start on getting DDs laptop up & running. Connected it to wireless internet thingy with out any hassle & it was all going so well until I tried to load the new Office ... at which point it refused to let me as it said my product key wasn't valid . Stupid microsoft website just patronisingly told me that I had probably entered the key incorrectly. I haven't .

This is karmic grief caused by not paying triple the price to have just one version pre-loaded onto the laptop. Well duh, that would be stupid when I can have 3 versions ( hence letting DD1 have one when she gets a lappie) for a third of the price :p.

Stuff like that makes me mad & this is why the Goddess created men; to do these tedious jobs that seem to thrill them & just bore me rigid. Same as with my car, just make it work please :rotfl:

Sooooo, I called techie guy who sorts that stuff out at work & said that I should take it to work next week & he will help :T.

Packed it all away again quickly & then resumed the laundry relay, loving that sunshine. Remade beds & then DD came home briefly to collect her GG stuff, drop off a kiss & then headed off to friends house for tea.

I am Queen in my Castle today & have to say I like it a lot. I'm feeling quite happy in my home space at the moment :). Although there are still lots of jobs to be done (eg decorating - ugh booooo hisss ), now that we are back into the term time routine it is working well as a hub during the week & as a Relaxatorium ( new word) during the weekend.

I think my sister is visiting at some point & we should zip into town to try to sort DDs phone out & buy new tights (grrr) + pop to uniform shop to try to negotiate release of paid-for cardi (more grrrr) but other than that, we'll just potter.

Hopefully some walking or riding will be done if weather is fine & I might manage a bit of chores too, will start with the kitchen stock take & then move on to sort out clothes for the next season.

I'm away to find something to scoff now, will be back to wander through the diary halls later ...

    xx

Because they were 10m rolls - she'd have had to buy 4.
