How weird about those cyclists! A club for newbies in training? It does sound lovely being with your DDs, it sounds like the three of you don't have all that much time together. I'm glad it went so well2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hugs Lula-Hula - hope back gets better soon.
I think it is this time of year when the light fades and the cold creeps in when I start to feel a bit despondent. That is why I like a good evening class in September, makes me feel more positive about that going back to school vibe. I promise it is not as good as it gets!! Will await details of ebay purchase - I'm thinking shoes!

Need to be brief again, but if I don't post then I lose all sense of purpose & direction :rotfl:.
I stacked pillows under my back & it was a lot 'looser' when I woke up. I've had another manic day though, so it's uncomfortable again now.
A lethal combination of being tense, too much home-job work, damp weather & over-enthusiastic yoga session probably. Things could be worse & a 4 day break from home-job will help.
NSD number 10 achieved & a decent amount of home-job wages this week due to extra hours, although I'd rather have less all round to be honest. I've been thinking & need an exit or significant reduction strategy as regard home-job. Again.
I'll do my best to keep going until the end of the year so I can stash some extra funds & then I want to cut down to just 2 days a week. Again.
I've just had a snifter of delicious Disaronno ( to ease tension) & really need some sleep as tomorrow will be frantic at work ...
Proper update soon.
Bye for now

Good evening lovelies,
I promise to catch up with all other diaries soon & thank you for your patience. The last 3 days have passed by in a blur; while chatting with DD tonight, I realised that although we've been in the same space, I've really not been very aware of her at all & have just provided very basic & not very mindful parenting.
I also have a stack of niggly little things to deal with; annoying things like having to chase up where DD school cardigan is - I paid for it on August 2nd  .
The fascias & doors of the building are due to be painted, the contractor has left a colour chart for me to complete & a note saying that as the doors will need to be open; then if I'm at work to get my neighbours to open up.
It's a decent area & my neighbours are friendly but I don't expect them to sit by my door all day & I'm certainly not about to leave my front door open all day & it doesn't even need to be painted.
DDs new phone is no longer charging; it connects, the bars tart to appear then after a few minutes it bleeps & the screen displays " bad connection of charger". Is that even English ? Can't find the receipt, that phone no longer sold on the webshop so a trip to store is required. I'll be furious if the phone needs to be replaced.
Just a few of the annoying tasks that can easily consume a whole day. I still haven't set up her laptop either.
On the plus side of things; my back is a lot better today & I have 3 more days without home-job & I have earned enough to top up the funds :
Child Care £45
Presents £10
Trips Out £30 ...
and to pay an extra £50 to the Custard Coloured, Co op Credit CardBalance now £450.
I need to confess to my recent ebay spends. The goods were here today when I got home from work & I've been very lucky. There's no doubt that buying some stuff from ebay is a bit of a gamble & I went over my original bids, I was determined to win.
So, I am now the happy owner of a fab pair of faith ankle strap shoes that do fit ( rather than the last 2 pairs I won, which didn't) & are barely worn. These were £12.50 but only cost me £9.50 as I had £3 in my paypal account
I am also the happy owner of a gorgeous dotty p's red frock with cream & black flowers on it. It also fits perfectly, can be worn with various other items I have & I just know I'll wear it a lot. This cost me £14.50 but again, it is barely worn & when DD saw it she remarked that it was 'very you' so I'm feeling perfectly justified that I've rewarded myself for a few days of hard work.
Next week should be a lot calmer workwise & with each chunk of money I pay off the CC I feel less anxious.
I checked online banking earlier & discovered a random £12 payment to MBNA . A call to my bank & I was told that it was a direct debit payment to Uncle Richard. Well, what a nerve, I paid off the only £12 owing on that CC on September 6th so they have no business taking another £12 .
Lovely lady at the co op bank said she'd cancel the direct debit & as I'd spotted it on the day it had been requested, then it probably wouldn't go out anyway. I do love my bank; helpful & efficient people living & working in this country who speak well & work for an ethical organisation :T.
This seems to be the perfect time to end my relationship with Uncle Richard. I'm a bit scared of not having that extra money available but I'm still considering the 0% offer from halifax & if DD does need to have braces, that might be the best option for paying for them.
I'm off to bed now, & off to do a bit of grocery shopping in the morning; very pleased that I've managed to stay within budget this week & will withdraw £40 tomorrow.
Will report my spends when done,
G'night

So Uncle Richard's done for! Well done you, Lula, no wonder you wanted to reward yourself on ebay2023: the year I get to buy a car0
