Hope you feel better today. Just one day feeling over full and then back on track afterwards - that's it for me anyway!

Hi Lula! Fedup is right - the stuffing-the-face might well have something to do with the need to rant :rotfl: OTOH you're right - thats a *very* lazy letter from the school, you're right to mark them down for that.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi Lula....just been catching up on your last week of adventures...sorry to hear about the job uncertainty and can understand your feeling stressed.Great news on enjoying the gig and your expected peaceful week..hope you're having a good day today0

Hi everyone & welcome back to Taxi :j
I've been far more restrained today & I'm all prepared for my week of attack. There are no open biccies, there is enough bread for DDs packed lunch & toast in the morning & any left over will go out for the birds.
I have a fridge full of skimmed milk, fat free yogs & protein. I don't even need to open the cupboards & I can't anyway. DD has tied the handles together to help me avoid temptation. Preparation is the key to this diet & I am ready to go.
Will weigh myself & measure up in the morning but at a rough guess I have 16 lbs to lose.
I got all the ironing done this morning & DDs bag was packed by lunchtime. After that I went out to the garden to cut the grass. It was scorching out there & cutting the grass was hard work & I couldn't fit all the cuttings in the compost bin.
We had a quick game of badminton until it got too hot so DD went in for a bath to cool down & I used the last of the open wine with the same effect.
I can't believe that my little baby girl is going away & will be missing her a lot so will be a tiresome thread botherer all week - you have been warned.
Money is low so I've only made a small payment to the CC which now has a balance of £1460.
No nsd today as I was drawn ( kicking & screaming against my will of course) to the joe browns sale where I was compelled to buy myself a fab little hat which will be perfect for the beach & just wandering about in the sun.
Rather too tired now & have to go to the post office after work tomorrow, to post various items so will be back to declare spends then.
G'night

A bit naughty of me as when I declared to makeup that I was all done with ebay for a while, I knew these items were already on their way
.
Anyway, lovely makeup is safely cruising along the canals by now so we wont bother her with that little detail :shhh:.
.
You just know I have a sixth sense for these kind of rash statements right?! :cool:
Anyway, good luck this week without your daughter around. Hope you manage to find ways to fill the time and it will go quick enough that you'll be wanting another peaceful week again soon!
If your neighbour doesn't take your tent, then I would be interested. I would like to have a tent and go on adventures!!
I'm off on hols again, another bargainous trip, this time to Tenerife where one of my oldest friends live.
Can't wait but haven't packed yet or bought insurance and need to do both before leaving the flat tomorrow morning at 5.45am.....I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills :eek:
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Makeup, you caught me out
.
It never occurred to me that anyone goes backwards to catch up on my waffle.
I shall not be falling for that one again & will make sure I am clean as a whistle from now on.
You would be more than welcome to the Big Top Tent but if DD & I struggle to pitch it, I would be concerned that you would struggle alone too ... unless of course you had plans to get a party of campers together in which case that sounds quite good fun;)
Hope you have a lovely holiday
In other news;
I am finding it quite enjoyable being home alone. I watched Wimbledon whilst doing home-job rather than Nickelodious. I had my meal about 7.30 & then having vegged out to watch eastenders I went out for a stroll along the canal at about 9pm.
I'm quite looking forward to the morning too, just sorting myself out will feel quite indulgent.
I am confident that DD is enjoying herself & once I'd received a text to say that they had arrived safely, I relaxed a lot more.
I stopped off at the post office on the way home to despatch lovefilm dvd, birthday cards & parcels. They cost £3.44 in total so I still haven't achieved my final NSD.
I'm actually really busy at work at the moment & the lovely Cockney Rebel is channelling everything he needs through me at the moment, which is helping me look vital :T.
The crates of cider are stashed under my desk & you'll be amazed at my restraint; I've decide to leave them there until Friday. If they come home & jump in the fridge it will be suicider ( sorry couldn't resist :rotfl:) for the diet.
Turns out that my pigging session at the weekend cost me an extra 4lbs :eek:. I wont be doing that again in a hurry. I've weighed & measured myself & unsurprisingly I still need to shift the same amount as I've always needed to shift.
20lbs need to go :mad:.
I've stuck to the eating plan & the 40 minute walk definitely counts too. It is far too hot to be doing Davinas & I reckon brisk walking is far more enjoyable, certainly when going along the canal seeing ducks, other walkers, cyclists & people sitting on the roof of their boats.
Tomorrow I'll probably do a bike ride instead - might borrow DDs as the saddle looks far more female friendly than mine.
Going to add the weight loss goal to my sig now - might shame me into actually staying on the plan until I actually hit that target ...0 -
A canal walk sounds lovely, Lula! The binges have consequences, don't they, tho
ah well, unless your suicider
does its thing early, you've got the whole of this week
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello lovelies,
I did post a reply on tuesday as had no home-job work & was terribly bored but tinternet crashed & I lost my post.
I did day 2 of the eating plan & walk along the canal & had another NSD.
Yesterday I had the most hideous amount of home-job work & without DD to cater for I just got stuck in & worked straight through until 9.30pm. There was no walking or cycling.
Today is payday :j & my salary was in the bank :j:j. I got to work & the Goblin was not in :j:j:j. Clearly she's taking precautions to ensure there's no repeat of her manic outburst :rotfl:.
Inspite of potential impending doom, Gropey is remarkably cheerful. Of course that may well have something to do with him finding me loading my car with crates of cider at 9 this morning. He was fascinated by it & clearly keen to try one so I said to put one of each flavour in the fridge & we'd share one later. I don't make a habit of creeping to bosses, but with staff meeting re redundancies due I though it an opportune time to be generous.
Turns out that he & Grumpy were out wining & dining clients for lunch - although they didn't tell anyone they were going so on my own in the office I decided it was booze o clock & cracked open one of the bottles & shared it with the lads in the workshop. They were very chuffed & appreciative.
Straight after work I headed off to Sainsbugs chanting that I must remember to use my £3 off voucher. I got loads of bargains & when I got to the till I had an opportunity to up my karma. The guy in front was short for his bill so I paid up the 64p he didnt' have. He was really chuffed & I liked being able to help someone out.
My instant karmic reward was to get a till spit for £6 off my next shop :T. I spent a total of £47.45 in there of which £41.20 was on groceries. Annoyingly, Sainsbugs only have one flavour of the fat free yogs & no oatbran which is essential for the eating plan so I opted to get all my spending done in one go & headed off to Tatco on the way home. That was another £6.58 on groceries adding up to a total of £47.78 so far.
Came home, unloaded the car & packed away all the shopping. Threw a coffee down my throat & then whizzed off to town to take clothes items back for refund ( £17 credit on the CC). I found the excellent car washer was there & chose to pay £7 to have a lovely clean shiny car again. I hate having a dirty car with rain splattered windows & as my fuel costs are so low, I think it's a justifiable regular maintenance process.
I whizzed in to the opticians to get some more lens solution which wiped out the refund & having walked past river island sale I couldn't resist a quick look in tk maxx ...
I have fallen in love with a gorgeous black bag. It's huge, slouchy & made from beautiful leather but £129 _pale_. Three times I picked it up, played with it & then walked away. I'm not sure I could resist another time so will avoid going there for a while.
I found a fab pinboard for DDs room. It's in a shabby chic style union jack. Blue gingham background with red & white fabric over the top with a few buttons sewn on & really cushiony. She'll love it ... although she wont know about it until her room is done. I'm collecting bits for it & it will be a surprise for herI also got her a sweet litte roxy t shirt dress as a little welcome home gift. Only £6 & if she doesn't like it,that will go back. [STRIKE]& I can use the refund to buy the gorgeous bag :rotfl:[/STRIKE]
A total of £20.99 in tk maxx & another £2.20 for parking including a £2 coin in my change - the first I've had in aaaaaaages.
No walking done tonight as I thought that walking down the stairs from the car park to the lower ground floor & then all the way back up again ( 5 floors) was adequate exercise.
Sealed pot now has £147 in it.
I used home-job earnings to top up the funds :
Presents = £150
Fun = £ 60
Hol = £200
I'm at work tomorrow as we have the 'meeting', Highly Annoying needs to hand over to me as he's on hol next week :eek: & it also makes up for the hours I'll be missing when DD has her reduced hours day at High School.
I've made a payment of £228.44 to the CC to cover the spends on it ( it seems madness to use the debit card when I could be earning cashback on the CC). I need to learn to use this the right way.
The total (if I did the maths right) on the CC is now £1300.
I want the balance cleared asap. I'd love to get it done by 1st August & start saving from 1st September. It can be done if I use existing funds. I just want to start saving.
Need my bed & beauty sleep now
G'night
xx
