    Bonjour mes hearties,

    we're French pirates today :D.

Could not haul myself out of bed until 7.30 this morning but have one wash load ready to go out on the line & then plan to do some serious decluttering, tidying & cleaning so that the weekend will be free to do fun stuff.

    Todays list :

    [STRIKE] 2 x Wash loads[/STRIKE] DONE :)

[STRIKE] Kitchen scraps out for composting[/STRIKE] DONE :)

[STRIKE] Check on veg patch[/STRIKE] DONE - now have 5 carrotty looking things, but still just the one parnsippy looking thing :(

    [STRIKE] Decluttering & ...[/STRIKE] DONE :)

[STRIKE] Filling another charity bag[/STRIKE] DONE :)

    [STRIKE] Vacuuming everywhere [/STRIKE] - DONE :)

[STRIKE] * Relocating stuff into permanent storage cupboards *[/STRIKE] DONE :)

Cleaning kitchen & bathroom - manana, manana :p

[STRIKE] Tidying up & sorting through paperwork - eeeeeuuuuwww boring :p[/STRIKE] DONE :)

    * There's a large cupboard on the wall in DDs room that goes over the stairs & it's full of christmas stuff, cases, toys, books, games & my old uni stuff.

There's also another cupboard over the airing cupboard which is full of camping stuff ( 3 tents :o) I need to sort these out so the slowly growing pile behind the sofa can be banished.

Away to hang out washing before it rains ...

    HAPPY FRIDAY :j

No, unfortunately it's not - had to sprint to garden to collect it all in as it started chucking it down about half an hour ago & it's now hanging in the bathroom :(.

Doing ok on the decluttering though - & at least rain means i dont need to go off & do outdoor exercisey type things :j

Away to carry on wiht getting rid of stuff & then to wield the vacuum about in a vaguely threatening manner ...

I'm thoroughly enjoying myself today - nothing like a good declutter & chucking out session :D.

I've sorted through the cupboard in DDs room & have, now got rid of all the puzzles into the charitizing bag, which made room for the farm animals & stable that go with the wooden house. The area behind the sofa is now completely clear apart from the sewing machine/s which can stay there for now.

I squashed all the boxes that monitors, wii fits & such came in. They are now bursting out of the recycling box, but at least they're out of home.

Living room & my room vacuumed & tidied so looking very presentable - not that I'm expecting visitors to either one :rotfl:.

Next job is to tackle the camping cupboard. I am wondering what to do with the large tent. It has been used 3 times & is very large & tall enough to stand up in ... but we've lost the pitching instructions :o.

I'm bored with waiting for piano refund money & haven't yet sent off the childcare form so paid £100 to CC instead :D

    Balance now £1600

Zooooooming off to update sig right away.

Wow, I am a woman possessed  by the need for a clutter free home.

I went into the camping cupboard. I should have known what would happen next.

One x mini tent pitched in the loving room. DD sat inside while watching tv. This tent smell wet & mouldy so we packed it away quick. Took some more reycling stuff outside & spied neighbour. Enquired as to whether they might like a large family sized tent that can be stood up in. They think they might indeed :j. I admitted that there were no instructions but said they were welcome to try pitching in the garden. They're still keen & I love them.

Decided to see just how small the medium sized tent is . It's not that small when pitched in the living room. It's actually the perfect size for just myself & DD,being a 4 sardine one with a porch - yes, we have posh tents with room for our Barbours & Hunters in Surrey :rotfl:. It doesn't smell at all, is very easy to assemble & amazingly, it also goes back into it's bag without having to cut chunks out of it.

We were impressed & thought that we might actually manage to have a weekend's camping. We dont want to do any more than that - we're girls & it would involve having to ingest immodium & pack defuzzing & straightening equipment & learn to cook more than bacon sarnies.

Anyway, the camping cupboard has been cleaned out, rearranged & the big tent is now sat in the hall waiting for a new home.

I've already glugged 2 glasses of the lush wine & also managed to crack 2 glasses whilst washing up so, I wonder if that means I can have some more wine after collecting DD .

I have also managed to clear out DDs room & found out how to unlock the security code on the tv :j. That is now firmly back in my room ( it has a remote & I am very lazy) & she has hers back ( no remote). We are both happy & can laze about in bed tomorrow morning.

Must run now to collect the little dear & dodge raindrops on the way

    xx

Taxi - I've been a right lazy moo today though :rotfl:

Souk - the wine is called Meadow Brook & it's on offer in Sainsbugs here at 2 for a fiver. Very delish & slips down so easily.

So, all plans for today went out the window at 9 o clock. There I was wondering why James was on tv an hour early & relishing it being a saturday, & then the phone rang. It was my dad, wanting to come over after lunch & talk money _pale_.

This kinda unravelled my day as we wouldn't have time to get the train to city for shopping trip & back again by 2.30. I opted for consuming a large quantity of coffee, some laundry, making some rock cakes & counting possible carrotty growth ( now about 8).

DD was keen to go for a bike ride after dear Dad had gone ... but by the time that moment arrived, it was raining & my head was spinning. I've been instructed to do some more investing in S&S isas. I really do genuinely appreciate that my dad is trying his best to make sure I have a bit of money for when I retire ... but god it bores me rigid :o.

If I could play the markets & try make a few squid here & there, then it would be fun & more exciting. Long term investing for a future that I may or may not live to see is dull & for a girl that lives form day to day & cant even meal plan a week ahead I just can't imagine it.

I think I do have slight 'reality issues'. I've never really thought ahead in terms of planning my future & when people ask that hideous question " where do you see yourself in 5 years time?" I never know how to answer as I think I could be absolutely anywhere, or on the other hand I could just as easily be right here :rotfl:.

Anyway, the end result of being at hoe today is that I've achieved NSD number 8 & also completed a lot of surveys whic resulted in my being able to claim another £10 Amazon e-voucher. That's £15 claimed this week & will take my amazon balance to £33. Just enough for the lovely Lulu Guinness birdcage umbrella I saw. I'm not gong to buy one, but I do need to get DD a new waterproof for her school trip & I think I might get one for me too bearing in my mind the Killers gig is just 2 weeks away & the weather is rubbish.

I do wonder how I'll feel if the rain is relentless that day ... it will be tough to drag DD up there after school & stand around in the rain :(. Alternatively, I cant just let £100 worth of tickets go ...

Going into town tomorrow so def wont be a NSD but as shops not open til 11 we can have a bit of lie in ;).

    G'night

Only just, but it feels grim.

I woke up at 5 am on Sunday for no apparent reason. Tried to check out the S&S Isa that dad was talking about &managed to completely lock my account - that shows how often I use it. Seems that not only have I forgotten my first car, but also my mothers maiden name, my first pet & even more worryingly, where I was born .

Clearly I am not the person I thought I was :rotfl:so will have to suffer the indignity of explaining to security peeps that I'm not having an identity crisis, just bizarre amnesia.

Having finally got back to sleep about 7, I didn't wake again until about 10 & then had to do some frantic coffee quaffing whilst doing the ironing :( before we headed off to town. First stop was the gallery to drool over shoes & bags. DD fell madly in love with the 18 inch high platforms with the orange & pink layered sole while I was gazing in awe at the gorgeous bags. Oh my, there were some beauties there including the amazing sparkly diet coke can bag & a fab red one in the shape of a car, & a really simple & yet beautiful fan shaped black bag. The majority of the shoes were very vintage & I was struck by just how tiny they were.

I'm so glad we went & we also revisited the museum of local history, & DD took in more info than on previous visits so we must keep going back.

After that we headed off to the shops to try to find some rainwear for us both, but didnt manage to find anything & it was cold so we decided to try again another day.

As it was already a spend day - £5 donation for gallery, £2 for parking ( was £3 but someone had left a £1 coin in the change tray of the ticket machine :T) I decided to whizz up to Tatco & refuel. So, that was goodbye to another £46.11 & then on to the co op before home to stock up on bread & milk. Ended up spending £9 in there & withdrew another £20 for the next week's groceries. Total Grocery Spends now = £ 107.31.

Starting to get panicky about weather & needing to get waterproofs so started searching on ebay for stuff ... fell in love with Lulu Guinness birdcage umbrellas but baulked at paying £32. Scoured Amazon & found similar dome style but at a fraction of cost :D so ordered one each, & also found rain jacket for DD & funny spotty poncho thing for me & as I had plenty of e-vouchers due to surveys ( thank you again Lightspeed for such prompt delivery :A) the entire haul cost me just 25p :j.

So, I have no amazon vouchers left, but I also didn't have to pay the £43.90 for Millets rainwear so am very happy with that bit of work. Naturally this amazing money saving meant that I was perfectly entitled to place bids on a couple of items ...

The refund from piano lessons has gone in, CB has gone in & childminder cheque has still not gone through so my accounts look rather good at the moment. I've still not sent off summer child care form :o but have paid the remaining £50 that was due to the Gas & Electric fund.

I've also done my weekly wealth vs. debt check & this week I seem to be £285 in Credit :j.

Ohhhhh, got to be at work in about 8 hours, so best get to sleep now ...

    G'night
