Daaaaaahlings,
I'm just a teensy bit embarassed :blushing: & you're all so splendidly sweet mwah mwah
Wordsmith - praise indeed coming from your esteemed self, thank you & I will think hard on your suggestions.
Taxi - glad I can give you a laugh now & then.
Karma - will investigate elance & please would you update your blog missus, I'm counting on you to show me how easy it is.
Souk - you're a bit fab yourself lady.
Dan - thank goodness you've regained the power of speech, I was afeared that your were going to remain in lurkdom forever more.
I am very aware that you are all a somewhat captive audience though :rotfl:
But I will happily take advance payments for signed copies of my book ... & any donations towards my proposed Nigerian Scottish Dancing Academy for one legged nuns.
I was going to have a rest from the never ending Quest tonight, but having read all your delightful messages I just had to swoop in with my theatrical outfit & practice my new persona.
I've had a rather interesting day today; on arrival at work it was clear that Goblin & Gropey had been indulging in a spot of mutual 'comforting' as both were quite chirpy. I was very excited to see that my monitor had duplicated itself overnight & it's offspring is not only larger, shinier & clearer but it does acrobatics too.
It can go up & down ( I can completely obscure the Goblin from my line of vision now :T) it can tilt forwards or backwards depending on how eager it feels & best of all - yet quite randomly - it can also tilt itself to either side. Highly Annoying & I couldn't find any reason for this until I leant down to pick my pen off the floor & realised that I could see the screen perfectly. I then lay my head on the desk in true bored school girl style & it is clearly designed for this purpose.
Best of all, it has speakers so I can do this > whenever the mood takes me.
Highly Annoying is turning out to be a bit of a gem; he brought me in a bottle of wild berries flavour cider to try. I really wanted some tonight but it's a 2 glass bottle so I'll wait until Thursday or Friday to give it a go.
I have not eaten cake, crisps, chocolate or biccies today; but I have done a Davina & fully expect thighs of torment tomorrow.
Had loads of home-job work to , completed 3 surveys & am within 5 points of earning another Amazon voucher & have not spent a single penny either so declaring NSD 5.
I'm a bit concerned that I seem to have an extra £200 in my account & was about to merrily throw it at the CC, but then remembered that every time I have done that in the past, the next day, the reason for the cash surplus is revealed. Usually as my account lurches into overdraft.
I'm not falling for that one again so will leave the surplus there until I remember why it is there. A quick glance at my notepad only proved that I must have been trolleyed when I did the workings out. At no point, even in my most devout days of Waitrose worship, did I ever spend £199.07p in there. Which is what I recorded as a debit from my account .
I have many more diverting things to share with you all, but I need some sleep now so will return with revelations jolly soon.
G'night all

Blog will be updated! Oops - must keep that as a regular habit
thanks for the reminder.
Glad you can have a little horizontal time at work :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: its very kind of them to provide you with a monitor for the purpose.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

you always make your days sound interesting
Aha, great to hear I'm managing to convince you as well as myself that my life is not as dull as watching my parsnips grow.
I don't do a lot of wild & exciting things at the moment (note I didn't say 'anymore' as in those days are over, but 'at the moment' as in it's a temporary situation ) but I do try to get some fun & enjoyment out of everyday life & try to make the best of the mundane things.
Today that involved a supreme effort as Gropey asked if I was free to join his & Goblins meeting about the new computer system. I replied "thanks for the lovely invite but I'm afraid I'm busy then"
He didn't believe me & I did recognise that he was trying to make up for not including me in previous meetings, so gritted my teeth & got on with it. We had to huddle around his desk & I noticed 2 things; Goblin kept moving ever closer to him & she's not wearing a wedding ring .
Not much else happened at work-job, but I came home to a mountain of home-job work to dobut was compensated by the arrival of next months MC mag ( forgot to cancel the subscription )& also the ebay dress. It's fab; a great fit, length, makes Daphne & Delores look amazing & I love the print & style. It looks unworn & for £4.98 I'm happy.
I've received another paypal payment for secret survey completion & also managed to earn the necessary points to claim another £5 Amazon voucher.
It's such a shame that I lost the spreadsheet as I have no record of my survey earnings now, but techie guy has said he thinks he's found a buyer for old laptop casing & expects between £90 & £100 to be paid for it.
Today was NSD 6 so only another 10 to go. Tomorrow I'll be shooting to Sainsbugs after work & I'm confident that I'll have plenty of money to by what's needed - not much actually.
I opened the wild berries cider tonight & it is delicious - tastes fresh & fruity & slips down almost too easily. I let DD have a couple of sips & she loved it too so will need to keep an eye on that. It's called Rekorderlig & brewed in Sweden, if anyone's interested but isn't that easy to find so if anyone does find it please let me know
Need my bed now & to get my exercise schedule sorted; working til 9 is not conducive to wanting to exercise. It's very conducive to sitting on the sofa with swedish cider & the Apprentice though.
Will update spends & thrills tomorrow,
G'night

I watched The Apprentice too - loved it, tho I do hate it when they argue, I'm such a wimp, oops.
That cider sounds goooorrrrrrrgeous... I might experiment with that myself one fine day.
Hope you get the exercising in order (if you want to - I'd prefer the cider and the sofa myself).

Mouse escapade was hilarious Lula and going to give your Tesco Shoe Challenge a go, have too many pairs of shoes I have never worn and I'm not leaving them for my eight legged friends!0
-
Hiya Swinstie, definitely go for the shoe challenge. I am so guilty of buying pretty shoes, finding that they don't fit & then insisting on keeping them because the are pretty or I just hate the fact that I spent money on them
.
Today I'm guilty of eating a delicious yet calorific (384 ) iced Belgian bun - no it didn't have a moustache, but it was so gorgeous. Interestingly the sugar rush had me laid out & having to snooze on the sofa for half an hour.
I was incapable of moving tonight so no exercise has ocurred. Other than the bun I'm eating really well at the moment but havent lost any more weight. I plan to go for a brisk walk tomorrow.
Work was fairly low key today although Highly Annoying & I have found an online booze wholesaler which stocks the delicious cider & delivers to work area. We plan to order in bulk & split the delivery costs - Karma, will bring samples when I head your way ... pm any day now.
Shot to Sainsbugs after work with my very strict list in my hand. I bought everything I needed apart from grapes & the total for groceries was £14.28. I spent another £5.75 on household & toiletry items & then my little cup of joy overflowed when I discovered more of the lush rose wine - still at £5 for 2 bottles :j. I paid for that with £5 of my Pocket Money as agreed & having taken out the change that goes into pots I now have £3.20 left. It should be £4.20 but I seemd to have lost one of my £1 coins that are needed for parking & trolley. The good thing about paying with cash is that I got the actual £1 for parking back in my hand.
My total grocery spend ( I'm just counting up the actual grocery items this month - although the £30 a week has to pay for any toiletries & household items too) so far is £98.25p.
I've done more surveys tonight & am quite close to another £10 payout on one site. I do the you gov ones, but cannot ever see me getting to the payout, it's been over 2 years & I'm only just over half way
.
I've remembered that the extra £200 is for summer childcare, so must get my act together & fill in & send off the forms. I hate filling in forms. Childminder hasn't yet cashed her cheque & I do wish she'd hurry up as I'll forget that the money is hers & not mine if it stays there much longer.
I've had a remittance advice email for the piano lesson refund & that should hit my account on monday so I'll be making another payment to the CC. I'm keen to get started on dreamboat savings & with all the funds & pots I hope I'll be in a better position to do so when the CC is cleared, rather than being a bit unprepared as I was when first achieving being DF.
Overwhelmed with tiredness now so off to bed,
G'night
