buy anything cheap to either scrap auction or to finance at something like 3000%APR.
need shutting down IMHO.
Yes, an 11 year old Golf - prime retail car for them *rolleyes*0 -
So they are looking to buy from the gullible and then sell on to the even more gullible.:rotfl:
Are they actually forcing people to do either - no.He who is not really annoying will hardly feel the pressure of age, but to him who is of an opposite disposition youth and age are equally a burden. Plato.0 -
I despair at the reasons why people bother to post on a money saving site, I really do.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

I wonder, if the usual suspects on here, who have recommended them, (swearing blind they offer fair prices and don't change their minds later on), feel somewhat different now.
Personally, i havent, and dont have any issues with WBAC.
If someone is so lazy as to not want to be bothered getting more money elsewhere, then IF they describe the car very accurately then wheres the harm in getting a quote?
Just dont be offended if they low ball you and be prepared for negotiations when you get there if you go ahead.
BTW, noone EVER said WBAC offer 'fair' prices - they offer trade prices. Big difference.0 -
9 year old stilo, 48k miles, 16'' factory alloys, £600 hahahaha as if
i worked out that after the admin fee (£50), transfer fee to take my private plate off it, and the inevitable amount they would take off for the fact my central locking doesnt work off the remote (cos the battery is flat), the sunroof needs a new fuse (£2 from the petrol station) and the paintwork is on a fiat (which they wont know/care is same for everyone), i would be left with about £3Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0 -

Sounds like they were giving you too much.
Heres a really nice 02 one for £800 and price negotiable.

In fairness, and being serious now i'd say the retail price for your car is £995 so £600 sounds about right.
And you cant blame THEM for you needing to transfer off a reg plate. Also, for the sake of £5 i'd stick a battery in the remote and a fuse in the sunroof - its going to put any buyer off.0 -
Isn't the Stilo the car that Fiat main dealers wouldn't take as part exchange a few years back because it was so undesireable?:D0

i've been on fiatforum for about 5 years now and i know at that mileage and with the sunroof, genuine factory alloys etc a retail of £1300 is more like it
i decided not to sell as i couldnt find a car i liked to replace it, having owned the car for 7 years i have done allsorts that stilo owners know should be sorted, there were 2 recalls done for exampleWho remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0 -
most undesirable thing about fiat ownership are the dealers themselves, according to them my engine size and car combo dont exist :rotfl:Isn't the Stilo the car that Fiat main dealers wouldn't take as part exchange a few years back because it was so undesireable?:D
stilo 1.2 2002 model year, definitely exists, and was a fiat dealer demo car :cool:Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0
