Had some good luck yesterday:eek: can't remember the last time we had any. I keep looking over my shoulder to see if the bad luck is chasing it.

We have been GIVEN FREE a little 2 berth caravan FREE FREE FREE.

A lovely old couple wanted rid of it as it is quite old and they wanted their garden back.

I think it is smashing. It may be old but it is lovely and clean. Can't decided what use to put it to. Too small for us 5 to have a holiday in but thought maybe DS1 could have friends stay over (posh camping). We may finally have enough beds for people to stay over or I can sort the never ending pile waiting to go on ebay, store in the caravan and have my dining room back!!!

Sat in it last night with one of the neighbours just watching the world go by (We are at the end of a street so never see many people) I think I like this option best lol

Did I say it was free???

Happiest I have felt in a long, long time. :T

I hope you all have some good luck and have a lovely day xxx

    Hello fellow frugallers:j
    Super news Paidinchickens:D

Thriftiness abounds here at Gnat Bottomed Towers- much stocking up of supplies was achieved within the Halls of Sainsburys last eve- all sweetened by a £7.50 off voucher. Hurrah:j

A romantic evening with OH spent in frugal fun....picking elderflowers. Half now are drying...shall have to google to see what I can do with them and half in the freezer for winemaking for when we return from our jolly.

What about elderflower fritters - every year I vow to make them and never do. Perhaps I'll have them for my dinner as I'm getting the girlie a Chinese tonight as her Sociology exams were a big stress and she finished that today. Not keen on Chinese takeaway.

I have also been naughty and bought a vintage sari on ebay for my bedroom window dressing. The ones I have now I've had for years and are falling to pieces.

slowlyfading - Wishing you all the best for the interview.

Thanks guys - didn't get it but oh well! Felt a bit unsure from the moment I got there, so it's probably a good thing. Still feeling a bit rubbish this evening though. It's never nice to hear you're not good enough.

Huggies SF. When they interview, they are looking to see who will complement their little team and if you felt a bit edgy and unsure then it probably wasn't the right fit for you. ( hmm just like trying on a dress.) The perfect fit will be in another shop.
Life here is going well. Spoke too soon DS just informed us that the computer's dead!

Of course not. It's natural to feel a bit deflated. :grouphug: But sometimes these things are stitched up before you even get there: they have to advertise the job but you're not exactly on a level playing field. I speak as one who was left waiting for FOUR WEEKS to hear the outcome of an interview: this was so that they could interview the person they'd already decided would be the successful candidate, but who happened to be on holiday. And yes, this was in education. As Puddleglum said, it sounds as if it wasn't the right place for you anyway.

Sorry about your computer, Puddleglum. :(
