Hey Congrats! Thats the same date as me!

About the registrars- I have heard conflicting things on this forum. We were able to book our registrars as soon as we had the venue booked, but I have heard others say that they have been told they have to wait until three months before! It is always best to get them booked as soon as possible, as registrars may be booked at the other end of the county at that date. The last thing you want is to be without registrars and unable to get married!

Thanks for that info! I'm really excited, think we're going ahead now for sure. Lots to think about. Will try and sort registrar out I think and then confirm the venue. Exciting!!! Also nice to have a date buddy!!

Oh well, you can make the £20 back on a saving on something else! Now you can enjoy the planning!

Yep, I'm not too worried about it, it's better than having the wrong time and ruining the day! I feel like i'm way too early for much planning yet- what are the rest of you all doing at the minute in terms of planning?

I have a few things sorted, or on way to being sorted. We have both venues, are in contact with the caterers (just waiting for final price etc), OH has contacted the band and I have contacted a photographer today. I also have a dress- although it was just one that was too good to miss so snapped it up. It may not be THE dress!
My OH has six weeks off until he starts new job and will be really busy, so he wants to get as much done as possible before he starts.

Just got really good bargain on ties for Groom, best man & attendants. Went into TM Lewin for a browse, and found ties in the exact colour I wanted. On offer for £15 each down from £79!!!! We needed five though, and they only had four instore, so decided to get them online. Searched for a voucher code, found one that gave 10% off AND free delivery. To top that off I collect air miles, so brought through the air miles e-store (1 mile for £2) and paid for it on air mile credit card! Whoooo!

Don't worry double mummy! We are only prepared as OH is starting very busy job in March next year, and will be fairly busy from August. And if we start early we can catch those bargains when we see them!
