thats already banned get like a £150 fine but it hasnt made a difference - its banned all over milton keynes but no one blinks an eye at it lol
connect 4, happy families, buckaroo, scrabble, rummikub, pictionary, trivial pursuit,
do they have to be table top? if not giant jenga or something would be coolThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Do they really think banning smoking is going to make any difference then!?!?
Pictionary is a good one, they don't have to be tabletop, but don't want to spend much money! So far we have 3 games for a £! Am assuming cards can be cheap too. Maybe UNO. N marbles! I kind of want old fasioned ones, nothing too new.:T0 -
i know you can hire giant games
charity shops are probably your best bet or raid anyones house that has kids (with their permission of course lol)
TIDDLYWINKS!!!!!!!
no idea what they are thinking with the ban i think its more a publicity thing rather than anything seriousThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
I hope its just a publicity thing.
I like the idea of a games table, I brought a giant jenga on ebay for about £30 and I'm going to get a giant connect 4 as well for the courtyard - fingers crossed it doesn't rain :O and I was toying with idea of personalised playing cards for the mens favours0 -
Hi,
Sorry, just sneaking on here from the Sep 2012 thread, as I'm putting off doing what I should be doing  Hope no-one minds
Anyway, I love the games table/area idea. A wedding I went to a couple of weeks ago had a games room, with loads of tabletop games (either from parents' houses or bought from charity shops, they all had a certain rustic charm...) and also twister, which was great fun. Oh, and they had boules outside on the lawn as well. Definitely scour relatives' houses and charity shops for board games. Giant jenga and connect four will both feature in my wedding if I can persuade the H2B!Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

Hi,
You can give notice to the registry office upto 15 months in advance and most will hold the date for you, however you can not book the registrar until 12 months to the day. The booking fee for the wirral is £38.95 each which is payable upon your first meet with the registrar. £300 or there abouts is due to be paid upon your second meet with the registrar which is the final fee and when you sit down to talk business, oreder of service etc...

in milton keynes where myself and magpie are getting married the only allow 12 months before and annoyingly wont let you book a date to book it because they are unhelpful and the fees are alot more than that lolThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Milton Keynes is expensive at £410 but Hemel where we live is £450 :O
Finally found a beautiful bridesmaid dress for DD which will go with my dress and the other BM dress

But in true MSE style I can't pay full price for it so I'll have to wait and see if it goes in the sale (which I'm not it will as its online only) or I manage to find a good discount code:D0
