I'm still feeling seriously behind after reading what some of you have got planned!!

Venue book, registrar booked. Colour scheme chosen, best man and usher asked. Not yet sorted bridesmaids!

Next few months the plan is to sort out my dress, make some save the date cards (don't want to sent till Jan/Feb time).

    Am I too laid back?

will be sending invites the day after i book (hopefully in oct after my bonus when im gunna pay and book everything in like 2 days hence why im shopping around now) but most of OHs family are from Israel and one of the best men is from Oz so they need notice

registrar wont book til 12 months before so cant do that

ummmmmmmm im doing quite well but people like Jo are just crazy organise

not even technically engaged so not really doing things as they should be done hahahahahahaha
The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 5

double mummy - still plenty of time though, eh?!

Did ask bridesmaids today, both said yes so that's something!!

I love Jo's invitations, we're having an autumn theme and think something like those would be fab. Nice to get some ideas!

Ah thanks Noangel! Good to know there is some-one else out there with an autumn theme! I am wondering what else we can do though to bring the autumn in, atm it is just autumn colours.

I know what you mean about the autumn theme - it feels as though it's just the colours to work with rather than anything else. I've collected a few nice ideas, will try and figure out how to post them. I think you could really make the centre pieces feel autumny - for example using leaves and acorns, candles etc.

Have you decided on the flowers yet? I'm thinking quite bright autumn colours will be nice.

Will see if I can put a few pics up of things I've found :)

I was thinking of using pine cones to hold place names, but not sure how it would work.

As for flowers there is so much I don't know where to start! Was thinking of berrys and leaves, as well as bright flowers. Sunflowers maybe.

  • I'm going for the autumn theme too, I'm thinking lots of burnt orange and antique gold.....pine cones and conkers. But that's as far as I've got! :p

I was thinking maybe something like this for place names:

But I can't help but think a bit optimistic to get them to stand up! Well at least pine cones are free! :money:

    awwwww so pretty jo

to make them stand up just saw them flat and put a bit of varnish on the bottom so its smooth

have now sorted out my centrepieces and have the design for my invitations just got to get around to doing them lol

hmmm thinking about making some extras and selling them to try and get back some of the costs what you all think?

Well I think I will grab a couple of pine cones next time I go back to my parents, then I can try out a couple of prototypes. Don't know when that will be tho... Thanks for the tip doublemummy!

I have absolutely no idea about centrepieces and flowers. Actually that's not true, we have too many! N no idea which way to go! What are you doing for your centrepieces?

Dmummy- I think you would have to do a considerable amount more to sellthem, as I would think people won't want just a couple. Have a peek on eBay and see what is selling.

    How is everyone getting along?
