We are actually live in Hemel but we decided to book The C*ck Hotel in Stony Stratford as they are doing one of those £1000 packages, plus the registry office in Hemel only holds 40 and we needed at least 50. They are charging us extra for the room for the ceremony plus the registry is about £450 I think :eek: But it still comes out a lot cheaper than other places we looked.

Just edited this post as I see it wouldn't let me put in the name of the hotel and I already know the amount of stick everyone is going to give us when they get their invites lol!!!

It doesnt look strange until MSE blocked it out! How many guests is everyone else having? Our registrar costs nearly £400, and until now hadn't heard I anyone who was charged more! It's really bad how it varies so much depending on county. If we did 5 miles North or East it would be over £50 cheaper!

we are wiggaling around the 100 mark for guests - registrar is £410 for a sat or £445 for a sun plus £33.50 each for notice

only immature people like me would laugh at the name lol

All our friends will laugh at the name, still at least they won't forget!!! I was really pleased with the room much nicer than we expected plus you get use of the courtyard which the doors open onto. Why do you say about non-smokers?

Thanks for the link, by the looks of it they will decide whether the ban will take place at the next meeting in 20th Sep. I can't see that they will pass it so many of residents appear to be against. Not that I smoke but some of my guests do

That's interesting about stoney Stratford. I would be all for it, I hate it when I go out side for fresh air, but find the area smothered with smokers. It is a killer when you are feeling ill. But I guess others will disagree!
What food are you thinking of having?

stony is weird lol its a very old picturesque town and its spoilt by all the fag butts on the floor (i am a smoker and i hate it)

Yeah, they are gorgeous! I may have tried one on... Looked really nice. went and took pics of all the stuff I have brought so far. We are going to have a games table, (like a sweetie table) so have dominos and pick up sticks, n table top games, so took pics of those too. After a pack of cards too. Anymore game ideas?

Did they not consider just banning dropping buts!?!? That would probably be simpler! And more likely to pass!
