Everyone is getting on very well!
Our to do list is still massive but have got some things done this weekend.
Posted the Notice form
Selected a singer for the church (now fingers crossed they are available, we should here back today)
Baked one layer of the cake
I've also ordered the flowers
Invitations to be ordered next weekend - we want to send out 8 weeks in advance, so running out of time for this one now, but OH still hasn't finished his guest list!
To do list
Sort Transport
OH has to sort suits
Flowergirl & pageboy outfits (Leaving to August as children grow quickly!)
Possible music for Reception drinks to sort (not urgent as not decided if we are even having!)
Invitations and Order of Service
Contact Priest(s) to fill in paperwork
Bake rest of cake!
And we have a number of smaller bits and pieces to do too, we need to select the music, the readings etc.
Writing it down has made me feel a bit better as most things are now done at least!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
My to do list is still pretty big, which is very shocking for me as I am normally so organised :O we just so much go on at the moment, I'm not very well and we have no money
anyway I think my parents guessed so made me send them to the to do list and budget. And are pushing me in the right direction again plus they have offered more money then they did originally. So since then I feel more in control, now all I need to do is decide what to give them as thank you gifts which shows how grateful we are without costing a lot of money because obviously if we had a lot of money we would be paying more money towards the wedding!!

I hope you feel better soon and can get on with the wedding planning!
My parents are being the same about money, as I've been slightly silly and prioritised the wedding spending over other things - so i now have no oil but I do have my wedding dress!
Mum has offered to fill the oil up for me, but i've said no, it can wait a month, I have coal to light the fire and its not cold anyway!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Grrr wrote a whole post n it was lost!
Good news about parents magpie & lazer! :j We all have been prioritising saving for the wedding, n things had been tight, the PiL2b came through and said that thy are going to give us the money they originally said they would (but then said nothing else for a year...) :T:j
We had our meeting with the registrar today, it was really good to see how the ceremony will run. However, I forgot to get her to sign my passport form!
So had to send it in the post... *sigh*:T0 -
I forgot to say, we may be having a student tog to take some photos during our reception. MiL2b works at a school, n she knows a student who is really good at the natural shots, and wants to do it professionally. Their tog teacher keeps saying how good she is. I said I was interested if it was just expenses, as we weren't going to have tog for reception, so it's an added expense. But she is sending her portfolio so if I like it...:T0

Good news Jo, magpie and lazer!
Sigh... trying to organise my hen weekend. I sent an email to everyone inviting them on a weekend away on 24th August, then my mum asked me to change the date because her friend couldnt make that weekend. Why I listened, I'll never know, I spent so long choosing another weekend that didnt clash with other things that I got stressed out and delegated the organising to my BM last week. She sent out an email with the new date last night and now there's 3 people who have said that they can't make it because they have something on, and they just are the people who have contacted me to let me know personally. I'm so annoyed at myself for changing the date in the first place, grr! I was even thinking not to have a weekend away after all (before delegating it to BM) but my mum(!) really wanted to go.
I'm now worried that most people will have plans now so I think I'll have a home town night as the "big" hen do and have a small one away.0 -
SiL2b has started making the people for our cake... They are AMAZING! I won't put any pics up until the whole thing is finished, apart from maybe a little taster...

Hi everyone,
bit of a late poster on here - wedding date 27th October -- now going to attempt to read through the thread!!2014

managed to skim a fair amount!!
Planning i think is going quite well for me, just starting to worry about the small on the day bits that i need to think about.
I've paid the venue in full, booked and picked food and drink, booked flowers, registrar, cake, disco, photographers and my dress is in the shop and ready to go along with my vail. I've ordered my bridesmaid dresses and all the suits are on order. I've also sent all my invites out and ordered my underwear for the big day!!
Just need to find shoes - which is driving me crazy as i'm finding nothing that I want and then i'm now looking at small table decs, guest book and favours. I've ordered the birdcage i'm asking guests to put envelopes in and i've started collecting small coloured glass bottles that I am going to use on the table around the guest book with flowers in.
Keep thinking i'm missing something!!2014
