Neighbour problems - help!

Am i the only person who has a cat that poos in its own garden
On a serious note i think some peoples comments on this thread are appalling pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourselves. I would find you intolerable as neighbours and should imagine you have very few friends!
We moved into our house seven months ago and i introduced myself to all our neighbours and explained we had a rather handsome cat called Ollie and should they find him causing grief in their garden they are to let me know and i will supply them with a super soaker. I have no issues with someone spraying my cat with water (It would only take a few times before he got the message and didnt go in that particular garden) than harm my cat or worse.
I have very nice neighbours and no complaints about the cat. Why not buy a super soaker water gun and offer it to your neighbour on the promise he is to only use it when and if your cat is in his garden.
Failing that i have a rather large colony of D. Blaptia cockroaches i can send you some so you can post them through his letter box :rotfl:Ant. :cool:0 -
I think the problem with all of the ball-under-the-car discussion is that there is no mention of frequency.
When I was a child, I would play football outside the front of my house regularly with my friend. We used to lose balls under cars from time to time, but it was pretty rare!
If a child knocked on my door to ask if he could retrieve his football from under my car I would be shocked that he felt the need to ask! However if the ball was under the car every 5 minutes or so yeah, I can see that it would cause tensions between neighbours because eventually theres a chance that it will do damage.
If it's a rarity that the ball ends up under the car, I can't see why it's a problem.
I hope that if you ever drop something on your neighbours property, like a ball falls out of your boot and bounces onto their front garden that you knock on the door and ask permission to step on their grass...lol.0 -
Hm the cat would annoy me but i wouldnt complain to you about it.
I have a neighbours cat that comes onto the yard - It's used my DD's trampoline as a scratching post! Cant really complain to it's owner - as it's a cat! It doesnt mess on the yard (thankfully!)
We have a dog - so whenever we see the cat, we let the dog out. The dog actually likes cats and runs towards it wanting to play - the cat doesnt know this so legs it lol
Eventually - if it carries on - i'm getting a super soaker

Two of our three cats come in to use the litter tray, the third poops in our back garden in an area of soft ground by the top lawn.
I'd be happy to give my neighbours a super soaker water gun if they had a problem with my cat. Luckily, they all seem to have cats of their own."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
I'd be happy to do that too- as i've had to do it to a neighbours rather persistent tom cat, who did not seem to realise that Lily is no longer capable lol!0

There are parks for children to play in. Pavements are not playgrounds and most car owners pay a hefty price to keep their cars on the road. What's so hard about parents getting off their butts and taking their kids to the park?
pavements are not car parks either
nor are roads
whats so hard about car owners parking their car on their driveway or in their garage?0 -
Litter tray.
Why do so many cat owners seem to think their cat's faeces are not their responsibility? Parents put nappies on their babies, dog owners scoop the pooch's poop. Cat owners should train their cats to use a litter tray.
really?
:rotfl:
how come pavements have always got at least 1 lot of dog poop on them
cats at least do it on soil then cover it up best they can0 -
I agree with another poster on here, if the thing with the ball was a one off i dont see what the problem is, if it however is a regular occurance i would be peed off. What I dont understand is parents who think it is safe for their kids to play ball in the road, the amount of times i have seen a kid nearly hit by a car because of this is unbelivable (I understand from you post OP that your son was playing on the grass so this isnt a dig at you).
As for tha cat thing, dont get me started. I cant abide cats crapping in my garden, luckly its something i rarely have to put up with as i have 3 dogs. My dogs dont crap in other peoples gardens why should i have cats crapping in mine.
Oh and cats are not wild animals they are domesticatedbe who you are and say what you feel.

I totally agree with the above.
I despise cats. If your cat pooped in my garden, then you and I would have a problem!"Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like its heaven on earth." - Mark Twain0
