    Oh no!
Rachel :- cancer (particularly bowel and breast cancer) run rife on both sides of my family, and although I'm only 21, I'm already asked by my GP to go for screenings. My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, luckily she had private healthcare and although it was only 3 small-ish lumps, she had a double mastectomy and immediate reconstruction. Been back on the mend ever since =] Fingers crossed for you and your family!

Trudi :- I also agree with Charlie I think, although I imagine it would be SO hard... Fingers crossed for you too!

Think I'm going to have to start crossing other appendages too for extra luck! Toes, legs, arms, eyes =]

Hello :wave:everyone, hope you all got some sunshine today and are using your suncreams!

Rach - big hugs, you are being brave and strong for your parents. We are here for you.

    :grouphug:

Big girlie hugs too to all of the strong women on here who are dealing with stupid men with the intellect and sensitivity of a brick wall.
    :wall:

I use this lemony thing from Lush on my excema sometimes - think it's supposed to be cuticle butter? For me the main thing is to put any sort of emolient cream on it to stop me scratching it...

Did a bit of work in the garden to stop me going to the car boot sale and coming home with more toot. Last week there was teen girl selling half used tubs of BS body butter!!! Ugh! No thanks!

Had to have an early shower as bugs were falling out of my hair after the gardening. Wanted to get out my new S&G body butter to use but it's so deep in my stash I couldn't face digging it out - how bad is that.... So am using a very old Dove moisturiser - it must be donkeys years old, it was my mums :A but it's still surprisingly fine!

Well, took advantage of the Disney 2 for 1 for a bit of escapism so got UP and TOY STORY 3 to choose from tonight :j

Oh, I almost forgot to confess 2 x hair dyes on clearance at Superdrug £1.99, not feeling too bad about them as they are to cover my one grey hair.

Is it me, or is the naughty step not seeming as crowed this month?

Ooh, Scrappie, you reckon Toy story 3 - I just love those guys - and no, I never want to grow up.....I just love Disney!

    :)

I've taken it up with all my shopping bags, not much room for anyone else:rotfl:

I thought toy story 3 was a bit pants to be honest. I loved the first two though.

I would go for UP! But have loads of tissues to hand it makes me blub every time :o

Hun, I know I dont know your circumstances or anything so please don't think Im out of line but in my opinion as others have said, there is a reason she was his ex. The way I see things is unless you break up for reasons like moving away etc then I think there's obviously going to be unresolved issues in the relationship.
What Im saying is if it turns out it doesn't work out with them - its probably likely hes going to come back to you. But, do you really want to be with a man like that? My point is I know it hurts like hell right now and Im sure part of you does want him back, but if he does want to come back to you then I honestly think you need to really think about it, after all why give him the pleasure of being able to pick and choose who he wants to be with and when?

From experience the worst thing I could have ever done would have been to get back with an ex in the first part but especially one who decides to as and when they want you. My ex was like that, to be fair we had a rubbish relationship anyway (loooong story) but after a row one day he ordered me out of his house, then after walking for about an hour back to my house he rings me demanding I went back there to his - not bleeding likely. He said if I didnt do as he said it was over between us. I said 'fine'. A month later he begged me to take him back to which I happily told him to shove it....

@ rachel84 just saw your post, all the best for your mum x

Charlie - I dotn think bad of you at all - if it was me talking to a friend, its exactly what Id be saying!! Theres a reason she is an ex - shes a cow and almost broke him last time. Quite why he needs to go back for a second helping is anyones guess - but I wont be suprised if/when it all goes tits up in a few weeks time. The mutual friend said that it appears to have all come from her wanting him back, which just adds fuel to the theory that someone saw us at aintree (we werent hiding !!!) and word got back to her that he was with someone and looking happy...
Ive had enough (apart from the odd blip here and there!) now - 20 hours is quite long enough to mope about feeling sorry for myself, hes made his choice (or been told what his choice is!) and hes got to deal with it now. Im going to keep being friendly and nice (thus reminding him what he has left!) - and if he wants to come back to me (but I dont know that he will!!) then things will have to be very carefully thought about - I wont go through this again...

Ive done nothing wrong here - I wish he hadnt done this, but he has - its up to him now - if Im still single when he comes back tail between his legs then I will consider things - but Im not waiting about in the hope that he does. :o

E45 is one thing I can;t use despite many recommendations - it stings and I think sudocream might be a bit too thick and obvious for my face - I'll look like a ghost!!!
I'm the same with E45, it makes my skin crawl and itch so much, Dr says it's because i'm allergic to the lanolin in it.
