Phew ... my poor son was so hyped after his flight disaster he didn't sleep, went to work and found he wasn't scheduled to be in. How very him. He NEVER looks at anything properly.
Meanwhile, I kipped in the riser recliner so that he wouldn't oversleep - he actually went in early. He's sleeping now, bless him.
I was using his tea-tree oil whilst he was away to sort out my scalp, the dropper nozzles on my nearly used up one was blocked.
Bought one from Savers this morning for £1.79. I'm not counting it as an in as it's medicinal, I use it for all sorts of things. (foot antifungal preventative, spot zapper

I did manage to studiously ignore all the toiletries. The Fairy washing up liquid went in to the basket (pomegranate and honeysuckle and it smells gorgeous!) at £1 for 740ml, plus Plenty kitchen roll and Triple Velvet toilet paper, the usual 6 rolls for under £2. Savers is always great value for these and cheap brands are just a false economy, I find.

    Morning ladies!:j

No INs, no UUs, no nothing (probably because i've just woke up:p).. apart from a headache:cool:

These posts got me thinking. We must all have bits we've tried and don't like, bought but won't use, are dreading using up because we don't like the smell, or how the product feels on our skin etc, but things we can't return and are not worth eBaying because they're open or we've used a bit. And there must be other people on this thread who want to try those products, or they use them/like them etc. What about setting up a little swap shop type thing?:D They could count as free 'INs' because you're not actually buying them:money: I think it would need to be done off MSE because of the privacy rules (private facebook group?) and we could all post our swaps lists and hopefully get rid of some of our stashes we're not looking forward to using:j I don't know, just an idea from these posts:D I know I've PMd a couple of people when they've said they like something I have that I don't like and I can't be the only one of us who has, but I was thinking if there was a group with lists it may be easier:rotfl: Just an idea:cool: What do others think?

Fab idea xoxo! And I could do with some more facebook friends! :rotfl:

I am officially a yo-yo. It's like super mood swings without the pmt :o I am obviously on a high (I know he loved me and loves me and that's all that matters - yay) from this morning's low (I can't live without him, etc).

I love your nails!! The colours are lovely :)

I think it's a great idea :T I've got a couple of Clinique gwp size items that I don't get on with, but might be somebody else's HG. Also I'm sure I have other items lurking around which I decided weren't for me after trying them.

Mccullch - did your son get to work on time today in the end?

Fiasco - I know! I do love puzzles - especially sudoku. Crosswords I'm not so good with :o

Has anybody tried the Zumba console game things out of curiosity?

Also, has anybody tried the BS coconut shimmer bb? I don't need any yet - but just wondering what it's like.

And my Bliss The Youth As We Know It cleanser has started spluttering :T Then I can use the Clarins one that's waiting for me in my cupboard. Or the Sanctuary one. Or...

:( pmt is bad enough! I can;t imagine how awful it must be for you :( stupid men!

I really want to try the zumba game too! I'm a bittoo scared to go to a class!

    Fab nails DR Roberto!

But Royal Wedding fever is driving me crazy. All the shops, the fashion trends, the jewellery. AAAGGGHHHH

I know what you mean. I went to buy some Yankee Candles yesterday and they were even selling RW candles. The tackiest thing I've seen though is the Royal Garden Gnome couple in B&Q!

L'Occitane Lavendar Hand Cream 30ml - WIBA? Well as you ladies know I already have as part of the Lavendar trio last month. This has got to be the quickest I've got through a hand cream, but it's probably because I actually used it when I needed to, so my hands aren't suffering as much. I think I'm going to dig out a S&G hand food to use first though. Have 2 I think but never tried it.

If you still feel you NEED to use handcream I'm stick with the L'Occitane. IMHO Hand Food is not a patch on this for moisturising. In fact I find it really greasy.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I think for it to work that way it needs to be an open group, and because this would be basically giving stuff away or swapping stuff I thought it should be closed so people that aren't members of the challenge thread couldn't join and take the pee asking for stuff when they're not part of the challenge.. if that makes sense?:rotfl:

Anyway, i've made a "secret" (only members can see the group and it wont show up on your profile) group for it, so if people want to join send me a PM with your facebook link and i'll add you then add you in the group and it's up to you whether you remove me and remain in the group or keep me:rotfl::D

  • afternoon ladies, hope you are all well,

I haven't been on for ages due to hectic amount of stuff going on in RL but I've quickly skimmed through the thread to try and catch up.

grouphug.gif to Sawan & Charlie and anyone else that needs them, men can be such pains sometimes!

Hope all those that are on or going on holiday have a fab time.

I was too knackered for a pamper party last night (crashed into bed at 8.30pm - I'm so rock & roll!) so had a little pampering session this morning.

    uu's:
S&G Calm one calm all bubble bath - don't need to buy again as have another one in the stash

BS shea shower gel 60ml - wnba - not a huge fan of BS (thankfully)
BS coconut shower gel 60ml - again wnba as there are other shower gels I prefer

Lancome Hypnose mascara - love this but I have quite a few other mascaras to get through before buying any more, plus this is a bit expensive and I think Max Factor false lash effects does just as good a job

Clarins Hydra quenching moisture cream - a gwp - really like this and have more in the stash

John Frieda frizz-ease - brilliant product, on to the shine shock now which I also love

Pantene Colour treatment conditioner - wnba as didn't think it was anything special

    Ins

Boots own brand spray deodorant - on offer at 2 for £2

sorry for the long post, have a great weekend folks, xx

A UU for me - Listerine Mouthwash - I replacement has been lifted from my stash. £2 into my pot.

I also have a few free Ins as part of my bartering system with my mum :D. So swapped 2 new Finish dispensers with 12 loads each and 2 bottles of toilet cleaner for...

Kenneth Turner Nature Nurture set with hand lotion, shampoo, body lotion and shower gel all handy travel sized.

Crabtree & Evelyn Cayman Winds Silkening Meringue Body Lotion 200mls

The Sanctuary Mande Lular Body Souffle 150mls.

Good result and mum is chuffed with the dispensers - she used one today to test.

I have another splutterer too - Batise Dry Shampoo.

I like it - will PM you once I've posted this :D
I used to have some of the Body Shop raspberry body wash and the almond body lotion, and one day decided to layer them to see if it'd make me smell like a Bakewell tart :o Sadly it didn't quite work but oh well.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

One UU for me: Sure Minimising Deodorant: WIBA? well - I'm gonna give it a week before I decide as it seems to have worked at slowing down hair re-growth but presumably a week without using it will give a definate answer :p

My Avon am-pm serum is spluttering and I've had to cut the bottle open and decante the remains into a BS sample tub - another one where the pump tube doesn't reach far enough :(

Had a NPI this morning - saw a L'occitane gift set in the charity shop - grape slimming gel or something - for £2.50 (travel sizes) but put it down and walked away :T and I went into SD looking for a Tea Tree shampoo for the dogs and wasn't even tempted to look at anything else :D (didn't get the shampoo either - dogs will have to smell for a few more days :rotfl:)

Used my Sanctuary Thermal Mask yesterday - I'd love to know the science behind these and how they work (they heat up on contact with your skin) - but for now I'm content to think of it as magic :p
