No Buying Toiletries in April Challenge

I have a new and slightly strange stash item......7 boxes of painkillers all purchased in March :eek: Don't worry I'm not addicted to them they were purchased for a mystery shopping job. The job was to go to different pharmacies to ask for tablets for a headache and report back on which brand was recommended. Sometimes it was Nurofen, sometimes Panadol or generic paracetamol so I have quite a selection now (the cost of them will be refunded to me)

I was rather happy with this job at first because I was down to my last 2 Nurofen so I needed a box or two as replacements. But now I have a much larger then necessary stash and I can't exactly take a few a day to use them up :rotfl:I can't give them away at work either because I don't want to explain about my mystery shopping sideline.

Just spent ages finishing reading the March thread, found my way to April's thread only to find 3 pages already :eek: its gonna be hard to keep up again.

1 UU since March thread, Next Define EDT - spluttered and died on me - DD & DS asked what I wanted for Mother's Day so I said they could buy me some more - so will be an In come Sunday but at no cost to me

Only possible spend for April is going to be my BS Groupon and I may even try and save that for May when it runs out. Have even decided not to get the Mail tomorrow (shock horror) as I have ENOUGH!!

Celebrate, even if they gave you a trolley load of free toiletries, when are you realistically going to get round to them- 2020? :rotfl: I'm trying to give up Tescos, am just plain fed up with them and their stupid prices. Am a Lidl convert at the mo. How much of your time are you spending on the DTD thing......:cool:...

Out of interest, did they ask you any questions, like are you asthmatic, when giving you the options? Many asthmatics - such as myself - are sensitive to aspirin (contained in Nurofen and many others) and it will bring on a bad attack :eek:

Wow we are up to almost 50 members for April already!

Im a bit confused (as we're all ladies here I figured Ill ask you lot) - I turned 20 last August (the age for smears here) well this morning I recieved a letter from the screening people - I assume they want me to arrange a smear test except the letter makes NO sense.

'I recently invited you for a cervical smear test, but I have not yet recieved your test result' - well firstly Ive never been 'invited' before and Ive certainly never had one so Im a tad confused as to what that is all about....interestingly the woman upstairs has the same letter (not being nosey, just we share a postbox and the letter is exactly the same envelope, thickness etc).

So Ive no idea now...but I think if they want me to have one Im going to be leaving that for a bit, last thing I want on top of my exams....


Also have an IN this morning - Free sample came through my letter box for some cream for Acne, oh well something else to add to the stash

No. Nobody asked me any questions except for one person who asked if I was allergic to ibuprofen. The questionnaire did have a massive list of potential questions they might ask. I guesse nobody sees such tablets as too dangerous, I mean you can buy most of them in the supermarket.

Regular Friday night pamper parties are a great idea :T

I'd get through that in a month (don't worry ladies - mine are on prescription under Dr's orders )

Insurance have agreed to replace our PC so hopefully we'll have that up and running within the week - it's all very clever - they now can text you your voucher for your replacement and you just take it to the store - amazing!

[RANT] Just had the people round to pick up this sofa and they've turned it down :mad: because there is a hole in one of the cushions :mad: FGS people - you're getting a FREE sofa - you can sew a bloody hole up :mad:! Back to the people who wouldn't collect the clothes - now they'll come and get a sofa AND the clothes - but we're still stuck with it for another week :mad: I understand now why our neighbours just shoved their old one in the garden - no charity wanted it because it wasn't perfect :mad: If I was so desperate for furniture that I needed a free sofa I wouldn't care what state it was in :mad: [/RANT]

back on topic going to get the dye for my mum today - will look at the colours and judge what will be best but reckon I'll probably go for the darkest blonde - that way if it isn't dark enough it won't be a disaster

Off now to see my lovely local pharmacist to see if he can give me something for this very annoying ear infection that has sprung up from nowhere *sigh* I'm not having a good week

Just received my L'Occitane order (declared last month so there ). I'm really impressed with the speed. I decided against spending the extra £2 for next day delivery when I ordered Wednesday afternoon, but they sent it next day anyway and it's arrived!! Now waiting for my sisters to be around so I can give their bits to them before I open mine so I'm not even tempted to keep theirs Will post a pic of the free gift later bev - I think I'm a convert!

Last night I stayed away from B**ts (got what I wanted at lunchtime as posted on the March board) and SD. My sister did buy me smthng from Primark, but as it was still March last night I sneakily posted it over on the March board this morning

Tonight's trip: Bluewater. I was begged by my nieces and nephew (12, 8 & 5) to take them so they can get something for my sister for mother's day.

opi black shatter nailpolish -i take it crackle is the china glaze version? only went in for nail tools aswell
ion intensive conditoner -was only 84p
claires has alot of stuff up to 75% off so picked up 4 different girls aloud eylure lashes @3 each-really happy with the price of these,also got some hairstuff and 2 makeup kits but going to stick them in with a birthday present updated stash list later which has somehow grown since last month(some cases doubled )
