Yesterday managed another NSD - so 7/10 now please

Funny that my 5 straight NSDs last week were all spend days this week, partly because we had a largely free weekend and went out, then had food out on Monday, Tuesday I bought lunch as we went into town and then Wednesday did food shopping.

    Hey everyone,

Oooh I haven't posted since the start of the month! I think I've just been mega busy at work, and this week I've had the week off. I've only just reached 7 NSD's, but I think that is due to poor planning on my part!

I'm gonna catch up with the thread now, hope you are all well :)

....has anyone tried using porridge oats in mince dishes like spag bol, it sounds interesting but I am quite scared....
Me action-smiley-069.gifKerri is right in saying I use red lentils too. There's four adults to feed here, so I put two good handfuls of lentils into water & bring them to a rapid boil, skim off the scum then turn the heat down to a fast simmer while I chop the veg & dry fry the mince for whatever I'm cooking. They're a very good source of protein so no need to be embarrassed about using them :D If I'm making more of a sauce--like a bolognaise--then I'll add a very generous handful of oats about half hour before the end as it thickens the whole thing up, so you need to be aware, keep stirring & make sure there's enough liquid too. Again, oats are good for adding fibre so also a + dietary-wise.
I suggest you start off adding little amounts, then increase till you find the quota that suits your taste. Good Luck!
I saw the first 15mins of that programme & couldn't believe the attitude of that couple --for outwardly intelligent humans, their money-savvy left a lot to be desired action-smiley-061.gif Looked like it was going to be along the lines of $pendahorlicks or 8ank of M&D where the person in the financial faeces were their own worst enemy, & were advised to stop buying from F0rtnums when F4rmf00ds is close by :p Seems I made a mistake not sticking with it as I've missed out on the better tips :o so will have to keep a look out for repeats on $ky.

....It's funny how you resent spending on a day you plan on nabbing an NSD!! :)
OOooooohhhhhh yesss! Every time me muvva phones in the morning & asks where we're going, my heart skips a beat action-smiley-009.gifMy head says I only have to be the chauffeur, but my purse recognises the dangers associated with "window shopping" medium-smiley-035.gifThat's something that angers me with people who say it's easy to loose weight; (stick with me a minute! it'll all make sense I promise :p ) if I were an alcoholic I can avoid pubs, a gambler & I stay away from one armed bandits, shops--I stay home! How on earth can you avoid food, if you want to continue to live! Sorry it's OT, but it  me no end...

Aww..thanks for missing me..I didn't mean to worry you :o Unfortunately the one person whose been able to do the blood tests from me at our surgery has left. I saw another nurse yesterday morning who had two attempts & ended up having to go to the Path lab at the general hospital sad-smiley-060.gif Now, this doesn't really anger me--I'm used to it!--but this was a fasting blood test, my gp appt was for 9am & I eventually parted with the red stuff at 12:55! Strangely, I was more miffed at missing me morning cuppa than sorting the rumbly tum & would have drained a 6 gallon urn had one been available :rotfl:Tis weird what things you miss the most isn't it :D

Right, where am I now? Ah yes, food shopping yesterday--spent an absolute fortune in the MrS over there by the hospital, to get the £50 petrol voucher only to be told it finished Tuesday angry-smiley-054.gif--but Weds was spend-free, so I make that no 8 in the BMF stable :j

    Afternoon all,

Good to see your OK BMF. I know what you mean about missing your morning tea. I need my tea, if I don't have it I'm a bit of a grump. :rotfl: Most definitely a tea addict!

Well not an overly productive day at work and now I have found out that my train has been cancelled. There are 3 trains cancelled before the next train which means that they will be super busy. So I am looking at just a 45 min delay at the moment but we shall see, these things have a habit of increasing!!!

I am declaring my NSD now, as this will stop me buying any whoopsies at the station. I have my book with me - Brave New World and I will be good. So that's me on 10 and 4 in a row as well. :j

Hope everyone's days have been OK?

    xx
