Morning everyone! :j
I am hoping to claim another day today but it all depends on whether my BF can finish work in time for me to pick him up before I go to work....I hope so! I hated spending money yesterday.....it was only for milk and petrol!!!!

Morning all,
Thanks again for all your kind wishes re mouth and work. I'm getting to the stage of wondering what other bad things are going to happen to me. I was prepared for 3 things in a row...but so far, since the end of Feb, I have clocked up 5!!
Oh well, the sun is out again today and I am hoping I will feel well enough to get some gardening done...or at least some potting up. I might have a go at supervising my two strapping lads to do some digging/weeding...there's loads to do, but bending over is just a bit too painful atm, and I feel a bit dizzy when I do it.
Other than that I am feeling quite a bit better today, though the mouth is a bit furry this morning...I was told not to brush my teeth yesterday, and rinse with a saline solution after eating (not much, and it had to be cool or cold). So back to brushing today, but still have to rinse for a few more days...helps keep the wound clean. Only one more day of antibiotics after today...hopefully I won't need any more.
Gong to see a friend this afternoon and give her son his belated 21st pressie, hope he likes it (a x-stitch coaster).
Other than that, I don't plan on going out, so no spending today, this will mean I will have nabbed NSD no 4 today. :j
Have a good day everyone.

I've been out to Mr T today to do some DTD-ingso no NSD, but a vastly reduced shop
and a voucher on the way!
Another lovely sunny day here (went a bit pink/red yesterday as I spent all afternoon in the sun) so I'm off to take the dog for a walk, then a run this afternoon.
Hope you all have a lovely day xxxBe the change you want to see in the world - Gandhi

Good morning everyone,
A little later than usual today - have been to a5da for my groceries, decided to go day earlier than usual as we were a bit low on a few things.
Also had to hand a yet another sample into the vet as the recurring problem with puss is still recurring IYSWIM. I am rather stressed about it as you can imagine. Went for a stroll around the shops and treated myself to two eyeshadows and a lippy from $uperdru$ - a princely £3 all in! Changed days from when my retail therapy could (and often did) run into £100's!
I'm doing a mystery shop this afternoon so I'll still be in profit;)
Just read your post Keiss - oooooh that sounds SORE! Glad your feeling a little better though!
Also I just spotted in Jnaden's siggy - she's getting married this year, and you know how we love a wedding on here. - Jnaden do you know it's compulsory to have a virtual hen-night on here? Plus we all get to "virtually" come to the wedding - I warn you it gets messy!
Oh I feel ahat coming on!
Have a lovely day everyone!:)

Morning everyone- what a beautiful day!!
I know it's only just past midday, but I'm going to declare today NSD#2! I very nearly had a spendy, as it occurred to me that my son needs some new polo shirts from the school uniform shop, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow when I will be spending anyway
Yesterday was another spendy, but a lovely one! I went for a 22 mile walk  with my friend. We are training for the Moonwalk next month, and it was our longest walk so far. We were both apprehensive about it, but managed it with no problems. Last night I was very still and sore, but no after-effects today, which is good
Anyway, the money was spent on a pub lunch half way round, plus various drinks, as there is a limit to how much water we can carry around with us!
Have a lovely rest of the day everyone, and hugs to those that need themSave £12k in 2021: Jan £1834.40, Feb £1692.810 -

(((Hugs))) to those with employment woes, I hope things get better soon ... at least the sun is out!

Afternoon all, weathers 'orrible here!!butdoineedit? wrote: »Hi lovely NSD gang:A
As you can see there is lots of activity on this challenge at the moment and it's difficult sometimes to see how many NSDs you're all declaring on posts.
Could I ask you to highlight your number of NSDs in a colour and in bold so that I can see them easily when I whizz through the posts - red would be best but I don't really mind as long as I can see the numbers easily.
Some helpful suggestions and ideas to follow below from our sponsor and godmother, BigMummaF :ANO SPEND CHALLENGE.
1. Have a good, long think about what YOU want to include in your Spend & Excluded categories.
Some of us count everything from Direct Debits & school expenses, while others do not include things like essential Bills or emergency medical costs. If you plan what is or is not a Spend for you now, it will help you decide on a realistic Target.
2. It is NOT a race!
We all have very different demands on our time & bank balance, so please do not think you have to buy everything on 1st January & make it last till 31st December! A few of us have been following this Challenge for a long...long...LONG time so have developed plans & ploys to help us along the way
3. Most important of all, WE..DO..NOT..FAIL!
Sometimes we can't quite reach our Target, but that is fineEveryone knows how Life will try to trip us up, & that is when you will find us here to help you back on to your feet.
OK, an idea of how some of us do things.
1. What you will or will not include as a 'Spend'.
Some people are doing other Challenges too, & don't include the money spent on those for this one.
Some will try to shop for other bits on the days their direct debits etc go out of their bank accounts; they're the real hard core of the bunch& have been l-o-n-g time Nsders so don't panic
Some won't count those annoying last minute demands from school & collections as you can't plan for them in advance, likewise emergency prescriptions or visits to the vet
Personally speaking & providing I don't buy anything else, I don't count parking for hospital appointments.(..but then I usually do my shopping because I'm already out )
General thoughts on €bay sales is the buyer has paid P&P so no cost to you
2. It takes Time to reach mega-numbers!
The First suggestion is the first, because a bit of planning will work wonders on your road to your Target. Have a look at Solvent's (aka Spoon:rotfl:) first posts each month for a hefty list of other Threads that may be of help. For example, there's a few giving ideas for packed lunches so you can avoid standing in the queue at the bakers for 45mins of your lunch hour! A good incentive to tweak your healthy eating & the pounds you save will show in your bank balance AND your waistline
It helps to have various 'money pots' for the different costs that happen like Scouts, dinner money, yoga, window cleaner etc etc. The idea is you "spend" all that money in one hit by....let's say **putting the week's bus fares into the pretty coffee jar, Jo's tumble tots SIZE=2]Weds mornings[/SIZE in the cracked teapot & Ben's £1 coin for the gym locker SIZE=2]Friday lunch[/SIZE in the pocket of the changing bag, on Tuesdays every week when you've got some change from doing the food shop, so an already spendy day. At least four 'spending days' condensed into one(**mine's jam jars for windows, milkman & a bit towards the bills!)
3. Any day the money stays in your pocket is a bonus!
If you look at it as a day you beat the system, you can't help but :j so don't fret it--ENJOY! If nothing else in here, we do manage find something to make us smile
We have virtual outings to wonderful places that never cost us a bean :rotfl:New York, Edinburgh & Brighton have been a couple & Spoon usually pilots the Tardis but you can use your own transport; my personal favourite has been a sit-on lawn mower borrowed from the cricket clubThe only thing to be aware of is Hubert the donkey who is partial to anything remotely edible but is not yet house-trained
And Remember;
there are no silly questions, so don't be afraid to ask us anything!"If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"
