cw18 – well done for number 3! Any news on the chaps? Maybe shezam can give you some bowling tips, seeing as she seems to be the champion!! :D
Not sure whether I need tips or a sanity check, as I've actually agreed to go

Chap I was supposed to be meeting on Saturday has had something unavoidable come up and asked to take a rain check, so I'm now going bowling (and possibly on for something to eat afterwards) on Saturday evening with #3.

And there's a slim chance I'm going to try a 5 mile race (organised by my running club, so at least it's within walking distance of home) on Sunday morning, so a busy weekend for me !!!! The one saving grace is I know I won't be pushed to 'have something to drink' on Saturday, 'cos he doesn't drink either :D

Going to have to have a dig through my wardrobe tomorrow evening to see if I've got anything semi-smart but comfortable and with a bit of 'movement room'..... can see myself having to go clothes shopping on Saturday morning :o As such I'm going to try and eke my milk out until then, rather than picking some up as I leave work tomorrow and ending up losing 2 potential NSDs rather than 1 ;)

    Evening all!

Well....I'm not sure whether the mouse has gone or not ...no sign of it, but I'm not convinced they just up sticks and leave...BMF, you're welcome to hire him out if you need a mini dynamo :D

BDINI - please don't attack me with the paintbrush :o this month started off ok but I'm having a little rocky patch....

Have a lovely day bowling tomorrow Cheryl - I'm sure it will be great fun just doing something different ..and with someone new ;)

Not sure whether tomorrow will get counted as a spendy day - car is going in for an MOT and service (fingers & toes crossed, chanting, medieval rituals and anything else anyone can think of please that it won't cost me a vital organ sale to cover the costs...) under my rules, it will be a card payment that means a spend, but its not really an unavoidable one if I don't want to be sent to Her Majesty's Hotel for not MOT...thoigh if I'm locked away in prison that could be good for NSD...:rotfl:

That's good. I don't drink either (I just don't like it) and it really gets on my nerves when people seem to think that I can't enjoy myself without alcohol. It's not a problem for people that have known me a long time, but newer friends definitely seem to make a thing of it.:(

Also I just spotted in Jnaden's siggy - she's getting married this year, and you know how we love a wedding on here. - Jnaden do you know it's compulsory to have a virtual hen-night on here? Plus we all get to "virtually" come to the wedding - I warn you it gets messy!

Thanks Jintyb, we can have a virtual party!

Claimed number 3 NSD today :T

Prob wont have another now till Monday but I will try over the weekend!

Even the folks I've known more long-term still seem to have problems accepting I gave it up. I was never much of drinker anyway (could - and often did - go from one Christmas to the next without bothering), but since giving up completely it's become less accepted (today is day 861 I think - 24th Aug will be day 1000).

When I mention to people that I don't drink, the first assumption is that I don't drink at home (due to living alone) apart from with meals. When I convince them I don't drink anything anywhere they then assume it's due to being on short-term meds (such as antibiotics), then longer term drugs (such as those for epilepsy), or due to a medical condition.

When I finally manage to convince them that none of those apply - and it's simply a case of deciding I don't want to drink - they often look at me in total disbelief as if I'm something the cat dragged in :o

The chap I was seeing for a few months last year was initially very uncomfortable about drinking in front of me, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest - just so long as they know their limits and don't over-do the alcohol......
