((HUGS)) Peeps. I'm keeping shtum on things like employment issues, as my blood pressure is already high  Needless to say, I WILL be voting in our local elections--I always do anyway--& praying the results send a wake-up call to the Hooray Henries with their heads in the clouds
angry-smiley-054.gif(I wanted to put a smilie delivering a rather graphic gesture to emphasise my displeasure, but thought I'd better restrain myself :rotfl:) Just a thought though; most people now have to be on a three month trial period to see if they are up to the job. When are MPs ever called for reviews & made accountable, until it's too flippin' late mixed-smiley-011.gif

BMF, we are also in the midst of electioneering here in Scotland, lets jsut say there are a lot of terminological inexactitudes being bandied about. I spend a lot of time yelling at the telly in the manner of Alf Garnett

    You can share my th_soapbox.gif
However, only spent £1.45 all in and that included an elastic bandage - which wasn't for eating :D.

    :hello:

Actually, I think there's a recipe for elastic bandage stew somewhere on here..........I heard it stretches to feed a lot of people:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Spend day for me.....

Almost finished off my bread with my lunch-time sandwich, and while eating it had debated planning on going back to work close to closing time to see if there was any I fancied in the reductions - but decided not to in order to gain another NSD. However things conspired against me, and there was that much stuff to be reduced in the bakery tonight that my relief was knocking the loaves down to final reduction prices by the time I'd clocked out !!

So I can home with an 800g sandwich loaf ([strike]£1.20[/strike] 25p), a 400g ciabatta loaf which I'm going to use to make garlic bread slices with some garlic butter already in the fridge ([strike]£1.49[/strike] 25p), a swiss crown ([strike]£1.09[/strike] 35p), an Easter crown ([strike]£1.59[/strike] 45p) and 2 packs of 4 best scones ([strike]96p[/strike] 29p each) from reductions..... and a tub of whipping cream (94p) to go with the scones (and some jam I already have in) which was full price. Total charge to my grocery budget of £2.90, but that includes 8p change and 28p staff discount that goes into my sealed jar, for goods valued at £8.23 ;)

Grrrr Grrrr and double Grrrrrrr :mad: I so nearly nearly clocked up another NSD only to be thwarted by Mr S.

I actually had my lunchtime mapped out so that it would involve a zero spend, then my friend asked me to get her a tub of yoghurt as I was going out the door...and I could hardly say no. Since she's bought me things in the past, I already knew that I couldn't take the £ for it and my NSD was out the window - so ended up spending nearly £15 in Mr S  got a bit of veg, some quiche (nice and summary), humous (trying to be healthy), eggs and some fruit. I'm sure I didn't really NEED any of it and should've just cut and run with the yoghurt (well metaphorically of course - I'm not turning to shoplifting for the NSD challenge :rotfl::rotfl:)

Busy evening - went and collected the new (to us) cross trainer tonight, which involved driving into west london at rush hour - what a joy.

Mouse still at large, seems to keep tripping the trap without actually going in it. I've weighted the top of it with some dishwasher tabs so hopefully it won't trip so easily tonight and little mousey will be caught - judging by the number of poos in the kitchen this morning he/she is getting a little too at home for my liking.....
