Oh heck!! He's suggested going bowling

I've been once - about 32 years ago for a friends birthday!!! Seem to remember I knocked over 3 skittles in the whole session, as I much "preferred" to roll the balls down the gutters :rotfl:

Hmmm that could be interesting, but it sounds like fun!! & who knows, you could have improved loads in 32 years???

Thanks for all your kind words re work ...it has been a shock and people are starting to get angry now...so could be a few bumpy months ahead!

Off to bed soon as need to be up in plenty of time for the dentist tomorrow...will let you know how things go.

Aw, Keiss, that's rotten news re your job. You are very creative - it would be great if you could make some money doing what you enjoy. Hope your tooth gets better too - :grouphug:

    Evening all

Not a good day for me either. Found out that I didn't get the place in the uni course, was a bit blue after finding out. But I am now going to spend all my free time into finding a job so me and DH can live together again. I think thats why I was mainly blue. Not nice being in a newish city, home alone for 4/5 days. Plus I work with a bunch of numpties. Contract is up at the end of August but I definitely don't want to be here by the then. Would really help with our DFW adventure if we were together too. So I am dusting myself off and getting my application hat on.

Some good news. I managed NSD #2 today. I think I should manage another 2 this week.

Well done those who managed a NSD and to those that didn't remember that there's always tomorrow.

    xx

Sorry to hear that RockCakes, however you sound pretty postive so Im sure you'll get something. Remember, you are not alone, we are all here when you need us!

Yay! My first NSD 1 yesterday :) I'm happy! wasn't even tempted, left my purse at home during the day (it helps with not buying junk from the chocolate machine too)

I know today will be a spend day though, got to pay council tax :( and need to get toiletries too. Also going bowling with H2B's DD tonight so will be spending money on that. Maybe have another NSD tomorrow though.

    Well done everyone :)

I got me no 3 yesterday--it should have been a day at the shops wiv me muvva but I just couldn't be arrissed :p so I made a stew with some diced lamb & got a bit carried away with the herby dumplings :o Well....it's been literally years since I made them & couldn't remember how much flour to use for 4 people...

((HUGS)) Peeps. I'm keeping shtum on things like employment issues, as my blood pressure is already high  Needless to say, I WILL be voting in our local elections--I always do anyway--& praying the results send a wake-up call to the Hooray Henries with their heads in the clouds
angry-smiley-054.gif(I wanted to put a smilie delivering a rather graphic gesture to emphasise my displeasure, but thought I'd better restrain myself :rotfl:) Just a thought though; most people now have to be on a three month trial period to see if they are up to the job. When are MPs ever called for reviews & made accountable, until it's too flippin' late mixed-smiley-011.gif

    Morning All

    Hope everyone is well :)

Managed to get my 1st NSD of the month yesterday, mainly because I left my purse at home, so today I have used the same tactic and hope to get number 2.

Going to catch up on thread now ;)

    Have a good day all

    Good Morning Everyone,

Well today is going to be a spends day, have petrol, milk and a few bits to get today but hopefully that will be it for a few days.

Loving watching my money now, my partner is also 100% behind me in our mission to be debt free. He is the one that use to pop to the shop in the evening for a snack....well those snacks add up to over £5 a week (sounds silly moaning about £5, but every penny counts). Been looking at our bills etc and have decided to sell our car that is on finance. Another 3 years of £200 a month DD I do not think I can do. Rang the bank and they said I can re-pay the loan with the money I get for the car (if its enough!) and my dad is letting us have his old car :D. Just thinking about having one debt removed is making me feel better already!

Have a happy NSD day to all those that can, i do believe it is going to be a lovely day though at the moment it does look like its going to rain!!!! :rotfl:

  • I've decided that, for me, a NSD will be a day when I don't buy anything at all. DDs may go out of my bank on those but as they're unavoidable they hardly count. Anyway, so far I have managed 3 NSDs so I'm well on track but I do have a friend coming to stay for a couple of weeks next week so I'm not sure if I'll be able to manage many NSDs while he's here... still, the spends for his visit are budgeted for so all is well and there will be a few days before and after the visit for me to squeeze in a few more NSDs and make my target.
    Whatever
