Had to go to the shop for bits and bobs for food this week, got a big shop last week but needed a top up. oh well, have literally no spare pennies this month so tomorrow is looking good for no. 5. Well done those who are keeping on track - I'll be there with you tomorrow - on the straight and narrow.:D

Hya all, picked up NSD no 3 today :j

Spending tomorrow, as off to the dentist first thing. Probably going to get a crown and its post removed, as I have quite an infection there. The antibiotics have calmed it down a bit, but still quite sore. :(

Been at work today...all very depressing as our centre is being closed this summer...government cut-backs etc. We got told yesterday and the official public statement went out this afternoon, so had to field various awkward questions as we are not supposed to mention the closure to anyone...crazy!! At least the gags will be off tomorrow.

I don't have a contract, being "bank" staff, but I started working there for over 5 years now, and was getting back into it all after being so ill for the past two years. I realy feel for other staff who really rely on the money they earn there...I know we will (just about) manage if I don't get another job soon, though I still have my invigilation work, so that's something I suppose.

Still, I have to work out what else I can do to earn money. I like making things, but it can be difficult to make a reasonable amount
of (if any) profit...still will have another look at it again. There's just so few jobs going atm, so making/growing things and selling them seems a reasonable way to go.

Looks like tea is ready, so I'm off.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Evening all! well I logged on earlier in order to post and have only just sat down. In addition to making my usual dinner this evening I have cooked up a pot of oriental chicken & chilli noodle soup (not the type with egg in it though - bleugh!) potted it up and I have 4 portions. I have also made an apple and ruhbarb crumble with ginger and nutmeg which OH is now on portion #2 of ;) Oh and in between that, I was bidding on a cross trainer for OH since our previous one bit the dust (I won btw but its cash on collection and OH is footing the bill as he wants it) -WHEW! what an evening!!!

The good news is I clocked up NSD #3 today :j I did get a couple of bits in town as planned, foil for sarnies, hot sauce for OH, plus cotton wool pads and half a cucumber (I know that a whole one is more expensive but it's only me that eats it and a whole one tends to go off before I finish it) anyway, it was all bought out of money from the change pot (which basically gets filled up when OH empties his pockets after a night out :rotfl:) so I get to keep my NSD.

Glad about the cross trainer - it's a Reebok one so should be quite good, but does mean me driving to west london which I'm not overly chuffed about but hey ho.

So sorry to hear about your job Keiss, that's rubbish. Hopefully you will be able to get something lined up before the closure x
