ps mousey hasn't wandered into the nicely baited trap yet...darn those rodents...
Peanut butter, Kerri, mousey can't resist the stuff, it works like a dream......
Well the little s*d managed to get the peanut butter last night...without tripping the trap  I wasn't so sure how much they liked it (hadn't seen your post before bed) so I tried a bit of cat food earlier as he/she seems keen on the area where the cat food normally is. If that doesn't get him today, then I'll try the peanut butter again tonight. This will be the best fed mouse in the field at this rate :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Yay I managed it yesterday NSD 3 for me - am so pleased. It did mean in my waiting around last night because OH had something on that took over 4 hours and I only had something that filled 1 1/2 hours of that I was sitting in the car a lot but better that than wandering around a supermarket or something and buying things I don't really need.:A
Tonight is similar so I'm going home for a few hours and then driving back to collect him later, but the car has plenty of petrol and the £6+ worth it'll use doing the extra round trip is worth it for my lack of spending and I've got a list of useful things to get done.
Got lunch with me too so hoping today is another NSD - will report back in the morning.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hi all,
Can I join please? It tried March's but failed so gonna go for a lower figure of 6 NSD's this month.
I have been spending like crazy since payday last Thursday and I have challenged myself to have some money left in account by next payday. So hopefully this challenge will help.
Thank you

Hmm.. that's a clever little mousey, Kerri, you might need to put the peanut butter inside the trap towards the back, that's what we did. Little blighter - maybe you're feeding him too well:rotfl:The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

This NSD thing gets really addictive. I actually felt a rush of relief last night when going to the pub quiz was cancelled, just so I wouldn't spend-eek!!
So number 3 for me today please
Just having a think about all this; an earlier post mentioned the Collection Plate, you with your pub quiz, others with bus fares for uni later in the week..those sorts of 'semi-regular' spends could be avoided with this tip from the Help For Newbies post, but of course it is entirely your decision what is or is not included in YOUR rule-book
It helps to have various 'money pots' for the different costs that happen like Scouts, dinner money, yoga, window cleaner etc etc. The idea is you "spend" all that money in one hit by....let's say **putting the week's bus fares into the pretty coffee jar, Jo's tumble tots SIZE=2]Weds morningsFriday lunch[/SIZE in the pocket of the changing bag, on Tuesdays every week when you've got some change from doing the food shop, so an already spendy day. At least four 'spending days' condensed into one

I had a bit of a scare yesterday, when muvva's phone seemed to be off the hook. Thankfully she lives a 10mins walk from us, so I ended up spending a few hours over there & managed to grab No 2 in the process, & it looks like there's nothing more sinister than her remembering to push the red icon on her cordless phone from time to time
Welcome to jnaden & shezam; I did notice the presence of the F word but I'll let it go this once seeing as you've not got your coat off yet, but just to remind you we don't F here. We get side-tracked, side-swiped or just down right tempted but we never, EVER f. Good Luck!

Here you are Nargle. Use it wisely, BDINI gets very precious about her soggy paintbrush:D. There's another offender on the previous page as well if you're feeling energetic:rotfl:The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Meant to say, have a look at Making Things with Face Flannels thread for some alternatives to expensive chocolate eggs, & some good ideas for kids holiday activities. I made reindeer for crimbly & me muvva took a liking, so I'm going to have a go at a wasskilly wabbit for her, being she's diabetic too.Full time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.
