You are kidding right? Surely your rights on that score would automatically be removed as you were part of a civil disturbance and your own actions led you to be injured? Author of own misfortune and all that?0 -
No, just wondering, as i said someone broke into my house and was attacked by my dog, they made an injury claim and got 12k. Now they shouldn't have been there and were breaking the law and got awarded that so it was a serious questionYou are kidding right? I can see where the compo situation arose in your home. Reasonable force and all that mularkey. I'm not sure about anyone getting compo for being injured by the police response to a riot however. They used baton rounds as well, and they DO cause injury. How on earth would any barrister justify a claim in those circumstances that a man had his arm broken because he was hit by a baton round as he was launching a petrol bomb and got badly burned too as a result?
I'd be very disappointed if any rioters got compo for anything but in this day and age, nothing surprises me.0 -

I've corrected that for you.
It's a mixed up place we live in. 99% of the people work (when jobs are available!) and pay their taxes, just to support the 1% (from both sides) who claim as many benefits as possible, and who's idea of fun is wrecking their own area (or someone else's area, if you believe some politicians who never admit the rioters are local residents). Plus when any rioters are hurt as they are trying to kill others, they (and their legal teams) start whinging about their human rights. Talk about the tail wagging the dog ...0 -
